Two Phil’s ran a monster race

I knew he could hit the board... Will he need more than 2 weeks' break until another race, you think?

They wee blazing up front in :22+ - :45+.  It would have been perfect if Derma could have sat off that pace.  It's academic because of his wonky break.

If you take a look at the replay he lost all chance for better position early as he broke in badly, almost sideways.

No excuses, though.  To win the Derby one needs all the racing luck and needs to be best on the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if Derma Sotogake returns for a BC race...

Derma hit the gate hard, and even if that didn't happen 6th is pretty good racing outside

of his realm and he gets my respect for trying and 4 legged Earthlings don't get a say in their

trials and tribulations. Sad day yesterday not because I didn't have the winner, and some of my friends

did congrats again to them, how many horses died at Churchill yesterday, 2,4, or more what the hell

does anybody know, Where is the hidden graveyard ?

Congrats to those that hit the $22,000 pool 4 exacta !!!!

I had to come back and read this again, I had a good feeling and a bit surprised

that you started the thread at the time and thought then , thats more like you.

It couldn't happen to a nicerguy.

Two Phil’s ran a monster race, considering he was the only one close to the pace that could stand up at the finish!

I wanted to comment on this. NBC kept talking about Two Phil's and his trainer Larry Rivelli representing the struggling racing scene over in Chicago... conveniently not saying why that is... can't make CD look bad while broadcasting on their grounds...

Also, anybody notice how that new First Turn Club at Churchill looks like a miniature scale model of the Arlington Park grandstand?    Wow what a slap in the face...

Even has those architectural details of Arlington which was a beautiful plant, IMO.
