My Preakness tri will include Mage, Perform, and First Mission.

You're going with Perform. IDK...looking at pp's he looks a light with 6x's to break maiden and a $125K win to his credit. I'll let this guy beat me.

Mage and First Mission, yep. I'd be adding RRO or Sevens to that tri. Maybe use all 4 in a $1 super/box and call it a day.

Perform is looking like a horse figuring things out. Can’t ignore his last! The rest of the field I find underwhelming.

Think Shug and connections watched Perform close last out. Zigging and zagging, jockey finding assorted paths and an undeniable rally. And figured that the colt might have run 3, maybe 4 seconds better if down  the straight and narrow path.

Stumbled start, blocked 3/1/16th.

Now runs 8 pounds more plus real estate.

Say it's a jockey race. These top jockeys in the Preak stretch are like top surgeons finishing surgery.

Leave no holes open. Can legally put compression and heard this jock.

That horse had unusual trouble in that race, and responded each time when asked. I couldn’t help but be impressed. Add to that the increase in his Equibase number, and I am convinced that he could be easily in the money with a decent pace and a clean trip.

We are both giving the colt his due. Most deserving and best remembered ride of the year. Paco Lopez rides like that, although even when he shouldn't.

Who can knock $150K supplemental

The time, last race @ mile market was 1:38 for mile; now add 8 lbs for Preak 126,

Got to be a couple seconds closer at mile.

I think the whole crew is gutsy and the jock really pulled the race out of his (d)

I might use Perform in a cheaper super/box. If anything he hits the bottom of the exotics.

If Mage wins the triple crown you think they're gonna put an asterisk next to his name on account of the top horse was out of the Kdby and he's running against this weak Preakness field?

Unless the Belmont comes up tough and he wins @ 1 1/2 miles everyone will peg him as the luckiest horse to win the triple....JMO!

I think Mage wins the Preakness going away.

There are 4 jockeys in this race that know intimately what Castellano's/Mage riding style is. As well as the combo of the five collectively in same race.

Why not key wheel vs box.
