The granddaddy of them all (the 244th running!) is on Saturday! So as to not clash with the FA Cup final, the race will be the SECOND race on the card, off at 1:30PM local (8:30AM EDT).

Thanks, Tex. Looking forward to it. A lot will depend on the going, of course. At first glance, it looks pretty competitive among the top 6 or 7. Only thing for sure, Auguste Rodin doesn't belong as the favorite, which he is right now.

That's good. I usually check the going on the Racing Post racecards for the day. They are accurate but they do not provide the level of detail that your link does.
I'll save that.

If you go by recent form..White Birch should be a top choice. Was coming from last in the Dante, only to come up short to The Foxes.
5th start should prove the pivotal one for this colt.
Me thinks the Dante could prove to be a key race.

Its' a good value play if you can steal him at that m/line price. I do agree White Birch is live.
Unfortunately, for me, since Arrest will be overbet mostly due to Frankie's swan song, this one is also live, IMO.
Maybe I'll hook up mine with yours and send it in.
Good luck if you decide to play. I also like Dubai Mile stretching out at somewhere around 15/1.

Another live horse. I think the going is the big question for Sprewell but he might like it good.
I may hook up Sprewell with Plus's White Birch, Arrest and Dubai Mile.
Save myself a lot of handicapping. LOL

I don't love the Derby this year. I have some thoughts that aren't worth much.
From what I understand, the Dante was the quickest it's ever been run. Any horse coming out of there would be an "okay" wager. I have always had good luck with horses who show something "coming around the turn" or the ones who manage to close fast after a bad break.
-- So seems like White Birch would be a good bet here.
--- If Kingscote gives a better ride on Passenger, and he pretty much has to after the terrible ride he gave in last, he could run ITM. Trainer kept Kingscote on the horse after that awful ride, so let's give another chance here........I can't ignore a supplemented horse with Stoute.
--- Taking a chance that San Antonio CAN actually stay (I like Dubawi and Galileo) instead of their Auguste Rodin....because huge odds! and Auguste's bad form at Doncaster.
---I love Osin Murphy so will give The Foxes a shot. (horse is too gorgeous to lose and he won't lose ground this time).
---For the Frankel offspring, I think Military Order is the one.
So there's my 5. Hoping at least 2 hit. Will make a few exactas out of these.
