The Belmont Stakes this year pre race was full of misinformation
--
Brought to our attention by Steve G. race week.
He noted how the ML was off, Others included my self noted how other
numbers were off that people pay for that were off mostly in my View
The last race info and Classification made for style was off for the last race.
Pre race The derby winner took himself out of contention in my view and some had that
baked in before it happened, also in my view The cappers as a group were the leading indicator of getting the race right. I mean The race Time favorite Won, where is the
ML Favorite a Front runner wins last on a good wet sealed  track g3@9f after
in Previous race G1 7th place in the Arkansas Derby and finished 4th Lone Speed
faded after 10f in only his 5th race tough for an Apollo(ML) horse a good effort, First 2 finishers are 10f type, and I think if Nest hadn't Stumbled, Bumped and Rush up to get a better position would of given Mo Donegal all he could handle, instead losing by 3 lengths.
Nest a legit 10f runner will be running in 9f  races against 9f types and with luck
might win some of them . imo

Mo Donegal 5-2  Golden Glider 20-1 Barber Road 10-1

The winner of the Peter Pan, with the best speed number, was understandably made the morning line favorite......the fact his body of work was not really deserving, nor that his recent win was on off track notwithstanding

We The People Made the Favorite after 2 back in a g1 race Arkansas  beyer of 73 jumps 30 points in a g3  Peter Pan workout

103 against who on a good sealed track at 9f with the worse g1 number in the Whole field.

This was a back speed group of 2 back except for the Derby and Oaks runners including Rich Strike before

his head case prerace. He was lucky to be lone speed and never raced at 2  and no threat to him the first 10 f

by default, I agree he gets points for lone speed and dangerous,  Not ML in my view with other g1 type that are 12f type

and tested. finished 4th 7 furlongs back .
