It seems to me that he is a disadvantage on a speed favoring track like Santa Anita. He was 5 wide coming into the stretch and just couldn’t get up for show.He is beginning to remind me of Sonneteer a few years ago.

Santa Anita Published the Probables and Possible today for Sunday's GR 3 Sham Stakes 10-4-3-2-1 Derby Prep points
11 listed and 9 of the 11 are Bafferts trained. You could see this coming.
Jan-3
Interesting that they chose Baffert to train Mr. Fisk.....must have some hopefulness around the TC trail?
Jan-3
Also, Recruiter went out and took care of business at Parx in the slop today.....hope they try him around two turns next month, perhaps at Aqueduct?
Jan-4
His style fits the Fairgrounds in my opinion, with the long stretch that could help him.
Jan-4
Putting early speed into him, they think Baffert is the Answer apparently.
He broke good like he was going for the lead, then settled down mid pack
when the jock took over and gave him a good ride and that suggests the jock is a plus for the horse imo .
and not knowing how good the field is.

Also thinking that Arrogate's second crop could hold some standouts......looking at Cave Rock too, of course.
Now wondering about a sire's 14th crop or so....with Banishing, impressive winner recently, by Ghostzapper?!? Sires him at age 20, just wondering if you have any thoughts about that?
Jan-5
He wouldn't receive a Pt for Sire Pedigree Age. He could score very High for what he does on the track
or that could be his only ding for Pedigree Scoring.
