I think we are old enough to remember how many times Baffert has done this
with a front Runner on that cement, they are not Mine that Bird pacing his energy out
at a high elevation for fitness with tf family 23b that wins derbys.
Fort Bragg is going to the Florida Derby instead so he is scratched.
I think Runaway Ghost was a 23-b. Actually a lot of horses with very nice pedigrees have won this race, like Firing Line. Quite a 4m's as well.
I can see just about any horse winning this except the Wild On Ice horse. While it's true Baff has won 2 of these for Pegram.
How did Henry Q go from Doug O'Neil to Todd Fincher? O'neil won this race last year with Slow Down Andy. Did Fincher get the horse off a claim or what?
I can see a horse other than Henry Q and Hard To Figure winning this. One In Vermillion, How Did He Do That, Low Expectations and all look interesting for different reasons to me.

I haven't decided who I will bet to win the Ruby Steaks.
I know I will have the 3 Lasix free on my ticket, #4 Funtastic, 8 Congruent, 10 two Phils,
MaJor Dude with that turn of foot on turf, Wadsworth and maybe Scoobie Wando.

Heard thru the grapevine Mark Davis has a very nice horse.
I asked above in this topic but nobody answered.... do you know if the O'Neil horse Henry Q went to the Sunland trainer on a claim or did owner transfer him or what? it's pretty recent.

For the UAE I like Cairo the 2nd youngest in the field trained by O Brien and love his Pedigree and Hope
he gets enough points to qualify for the Derby and matures more by Derby Day and gets it done
The Japanese Horse I like is Dura Erade and I will have those 2 on top
---------
Ruby Stakes I like Funtastic Again a front runner and Major Dude a screaming turn of Foot
closer on turf hoping he takes to A. With Two Phils a presser who when he makes his move
puts pressure on the leaders even eyeball to eyeball early with them first time A.
Congruent and Wadsworth, Scoobie Wando. first 2 will be on top.
---------------------------
Sunland Derby Pass, Louisiana Derby I'll do later.
Good Luck !!

The owner of record Henry Q is throughout the same as tomorrow: Del Mar Group.
Doug's brother Dennis bought horse at auction. In name O'Neill later bought the horse. Accounting purposes and for the record, likely.
Assumption: O'Neill member of D M Group. Dennis likely.
Doug was trainer throughout races. As a matter of fact Henry Q's 1st time out, the colt ran against a Reddam + Mario runner.
Next 2 races had Dettori up, Doug trained.
Best guess is Doug (Dennis) had to turn over to Fletcher due to Reddam being their bread and butter and team success and future.
And what if they had to compete with their own team Reddam and Mario. They make up the other half.
Kindah turning over your corner store cause you're on the Board of Walmart.
The Del Mar Group in 2nd yr and 26 have left a gate total.
Just $270K earned.
Doug uses rider in here often; Maldonado
Kinda cheesie silks.
