Having walked on both Poly (at Woodbine and Turfway) and Tapeta (at Woodbine) I can tell you Tapeta is much faster.  It's firmer overall and feels a lot closer to natural dirt in terms of the "grip" you get on it, compared to Polytrack which really did feel like you were walking on a thick layer of lint from your clothes dryer mixed with some pillow fill.  That's a slight exaggeration but there's a clear difference. Poly is a lot "spongier".

Tapeta also has a tendency to clog up tread on your boots/shoes, like dirt can. Poly never did that.

What is your take?

In general

It seems to me that runners move up from Tap surface to dirt for performance.

Yet to grass not so much.

Two Phils in a AW race  at the top 101 Beyer. You can tell today is Sunday the Interns

Thanks Smarty. I typically do not bet a future but my friends were in LV and asked so I gave them my 2 cents. We all bet enough to cover a flight to collect during the Belmont LoL!! Fingers crossed.

I hit it, as I played Disarm in most combinations.  I thought he did well, expect him to improve for the Derby.

Forte can prove me wrong this weekend, but in my opinion, the best three year old this year is the Pletcher filly, Munny’s Gold! She may not race in any of the Classics, but her raw talent is undeniable. The only question is whether she can go two turns!

The sophomore fillies are an interesting lot on the whole. I am anxious to see Lady Beth return to the races.
