I agree. I was happy to hear that he was "back on track" so to speak yesterday. Now this morning, I read here, from Winter, that he's scratched. Why would Pletcher have skirted the issue. I'm sure he knew full well yesterday that the handwriting was on the wall.

Irad is now hopping onto Cyclone Mischief! Very interesting for pace now......

Cyclone Mischief can hit the board IMHO. Will use him along with Rocket Can and Sun Thunder as my bombers to hit the tri or superfecta.

Of course Repole said that the vets were being overly cautious.I get the impression that he would have run him if the vets hadn’t stepped in.It was the same secrecy around Uncle Mo.

"Overly cautious" So now Repole is a vet, right? He is a dumbass.
No doubt in my mind they would have run. That's why Todd was talking through both sides of his mouth.

I don't know, Steve.....Repole sounds sincere, at least to me. Maybe I'm easily sold, but I do play a lot of poker, and I can see bluffs, he ain't bluffing. And it is something to consider. Should a horse with a tender hoof still be allowed to race, if his gallops look OK? I know with athletes in football, they play through some bruises......so, if the bruise made Forte only 95% excellent, should he be allowed to race? Just an honest question, a ponder if you will.
When a horse has a fever, or is out of sorts, or a limp, obviously....scratch. But is it possible to have a few nicks/scratches and still be competitive?

Repole is an enthusiast not an expert medical man. This week, after the battering that CDI has taken over horse welfare. No.
Overly cautious is the correct mindset. Only my opinion, of course.
Any athlete can be competitive with nicks but these are horses, not people who can choose to compete and run their own risks. Horses cannot decide.
