Firefox shouldn't be a problem, many members use it all the time.

Try clearing browsing history and cookies and log in from our frontpage https://delphiforums.com .

let us know how it goes ...

ahhhh this is weird (Poor Tazman, I shoulda listened better to him the other day...)

I logged out, cleared recent history (temp files etc) and then typed delphiforums.com into the Firefox address bar.... I was redirected to this page - No I did not follow it.

(I'll repeat the test to make sure those were my steps)

Is the image in this post http://forums.delphiforums.com/hosts/messages/28455/3   the one you see when you try to log in?

I remove the cookie that redirect placed on my browser - I did a search for it but I don't trust any of the sites that came up. Nothing comes up at Microsoft or Mozilla when I search for the cookie name. I don't want to post it, I'll PM it to you. It's visible in the address bar of my screen shot as the darker portion of the web address.

I cannot recreate what happened there BUT when I do log in (form the web not from an email) the page does not update with my avatar... it stays on the blank image with login underneath. I can click on the Star and get My Forums to pop up but it still looks like I am not logged in on the home page.

Can't reproduce this with win10, firefox.

Does it happen when you put in the https at the front?

I googled the getawesome5 and it appears to be an ad service.  I didn’t click on anything, but for you computer savvy guys, try googling.  It gave a bunch of info on how to get rid of it.

I did but did not see any sites I recognized so didn’t follow those links.

I did not follow the links, either, but it appears this is adware.

I’ll run a few more tests - I had only typed in delphiforums.com without any thing else - and hit enter. I could not reproduce even before I removed the cookies (there were 2)
