The usual way to do this is to post in the forum about taking over. When there is general agreement on a new Host give us the link to the discussion and we'll do the transfer.

 

What about a private forum that where the Host has been gone for years? I forgot the password to get in and even have a message unanswered in the forum. I was a mod there...what if the forum was a prime membership and went unpaid would it revert back to basic and not automatically let people in? I don't recall having to enter a password everytime

When the owner of a private forum drops out or discontinues his paying membership, the forum is closed to everyone, even Delphi staff. Only the owner could resurrect it.

I've tried to get in touch but get no response. Oh well...

Sorry to butt in here. Our forum has a moderator who’s been MIA for over two years. I posted a request to see if the group wanted me to be the new moderator and they voted me in.
