This is a gut wrenching story of a young boy in dire circumstances. He had a prior transplant that was rejected leaving his antibodies at 99%, meaning it's virtually impossible to get transplanted again. But now doctors are considering him for an experimental procedure that could avert the rejection, but he still needs a match to go through with the procedure.
Those interested in being considered can send an email to: email@example.com
You will also see the address in the article with some more information on his story.
They are at least getting responses which is a good start!
This is the Facebook page that the family set up. You can follow Jordan's story there. Lets keep him in our prayers.
I will add him and his family to my prayers. Unfortunately I have Primary Progressive MS and cannot donate anything even after I pass because they do not know what causes MS. But I can certainly pray and send my prayers and good thoughts into the universe, Thank you for letting us know.
I can understand that Lyndy. I only know this boy from reading his story, but I'm glad there are people responding (who are able). Of course I can't give him the one thing he needs, because my kidney is close to mush now too.
I also hope things are going well for you!
I have good days and bad but there are folks who are much worse so I cannot complain. I hope this person and others like him get the help they need, it really annoys me that people who can donate choose to take their organs to the grave or furnace rather than donate to those in need. But to each his/her own I guess.
I would like to include this forum in the next edition of the N&V if you are interested?
I would love to take part in the next N & V. Let me know what you need from my end :-)
