Neither, I don't think. It was part of CBS's "blood money" settlement with him. They must figure that by giving $20 million to #metoo causes, it will absolve them of responsibility for keeping him as head of CBS for so many years.

It doesn’t surprise me. Networks used to have the ultimate power. Netflix showed them they didn’t. It’s all unraveling and television in the future will change forever.
