A mother from Honduras was separated from her five year-old son six weeks ago. They still haven't seen each other, and she's frantic she'll be deported without him. My report from El Paso: https://t.co/UOtpCMYC4x

Brooklyn 3rd graders making cards for children being held at detention camps. These kids and their teachers are showing more humanity than our nation’s leaders ever could. (Cards will be brought to Texas by a group of clergy tonight.) pic.twitter.com/inShzq84m6

How do you reunite an infant, who can not communicate who their parent is, with a parent who is not allowed to access them, because they have been sent to separate states, or the parent has been deported? This is a recipe for permanent separation. https://t.co/a2e9202LiT

So what happens to American criminals children when the parent(s) is in jail?
6/20/18
9th Circuit ruled that children can not be detained for over 3 weeks so they must be released to someone’s custody. In 2016, parents were released, even if they had committed felonies. Now, they are not releasing parents, so the governement can either detain children with parents over 20 days. People are blaming Trump not for the ruling but for not letting parents go. Sometimes the children are not even related to the adults, though, so then what do they do?
