So what happens to American criminals children when the parent(s) is in jail?
6/20/18
9th Circuit ruled that children can not be detained for over 3 weeks so they must be released to someone’s custody. In 2016, parents were released, even if they had committed felonies. Now, they are not releasing parents, so the governement can either detain children with parents over 20 days. People are blaming Trump not for the ruling but for not letting parents go. Sometimes the children are not even related to the adults, though, so then what do they do?

Very very few of the accompanied children are not related to the person they came in with. Im not talking about the unaccompanies teenagers, but the family groups that are being forcibly separated.
