You will notice that there are green and red indicators at the top left of each friend card. This indicates if a friend is active or inactive. This can be helpful in determining if you want to continue to gift this person. General info on sending/receiving friend requests:
1. If you send an invite to them, YOUR invite to them will be in your Invited folder.....ON THEIR SOCIAL PAGE, your invite to them will be in their New Requests folder until they either accept or decline.
2. If they decline, YOUR invite goes to THEIR Declined folder, but the invite remains in your Invited folder until you decide to remove it.
3. If they accept, their card goes to the back of your friends’ folder until their wish list is published by the server. They then go to their alphabetical place with your other cards.
4. If EITHER PLAYER then deletes the other one......the one who does the deleting will have the deleted player in their Declined folder........the one who was deleted will see the other player's card in their Invited folder. If you then remove it from your Invited folder, it will disappear from the declining friend's Declined folder. If you never delete your card from the Invited folder, your card will remain in the other player's Declined folder until BFG does their periodic clean up of that folder.
5. There is no way for a player to remove cards from their Declined folder except to accept them back as a friend (BFG periodically purges the contents of this folder).

There was a short, short period of time in the Fall of 2016 when in-game messaging was enabled for the PC players. For about 3 to 4 days, we were able to click on the green indicator…..get a pop-up box…..and be able to type a very short message to that player (it may have been all of about 50 characters at the maximum). However, several players were experiencing issues with the feature. The message had to be manually deleted. There were a few players whose message (meant for one friend) got sent to several other friends.
As a result, the feature was disabled and was not pushed out to iOS or to Android. Some day we hope to have that feature return as it was quite helpful. (Currently, the only way to contact a friend is through the forum PM capability, and not all players know about/participate in the forum.)
When you view a friend’s list, the items will display with the item that you have the most of on the far left side. If you select an item, you will get a pop-up telling you how many you have in inventory. It will also ask you if you want to gift this item to this friend. If you say yes, your inventory is reduced by one of those items and it is sent to that friend.
If a friend has an item on their wish list that shows up (to you) in red, that means you do not have any of this item in your inventory. Sometimes this will be a more senior player asking for an item that has not yet become available to you, or you might just not have any of this item in inventory. For many of the items, you can choose to either purchase that item with diamonds or coins. However, some items can only be purchased with diamonds – seasonal items and pet eggs are two of those type of items. .... Only items purchased with diamonds (not coins) count toward the Market Master achievement.

You may read in the forum about players “swapping” items. Some of the achievements require you to “get” a certain amount of an item. However, you do not necessarily need to have that many of the item in inventory. So, if I send you a snowflake, my inventory is reduced by one snowflake and you get credit for “getting” a snowflake in your achievement. If you send that snowflake back to me – then your inventory is reduced by 1 snowflake (but your achievement total remains the same) and my achievement is credited with getting 1 more snowflake. So, we can swap that same one snowflake back and forth many times until we each meet the achievement requirement.
Most players want to have more than Just John as a friend. As mentioned previously, the 3 platforms have different software structures, so they cannot communicate with each other. If you play on Android, your friends must also be on Android. If you want to play MC on both PC and iOS, then you will be playing 2 entirely different games – you cannot send gifts from PC to iOS or Android.

Player Profile and Achievements – Initially, you will be labeled as “player” by the game (in the upper left of the screen), and you will also have a white, faceless mannequin as your in-game avatar. You can create a more personal game name by clicking on this avatar and then clicking the pencil under the avatar (backspace out “player” before you type your new game name).
While some players prefer to be "anonymous" by leaving "player" as their in-game name, please be advised that many senior players will not accept an invite from "player" because it is too labor intensive to monitor the game IDs to determine which "player" has sent a gift.
You can also click on the pencil next to the avatar to scroll through and select a different one if it is unlocked. (Currently, the first avatars to be unlocked are Gentleman and Lady. Both become available at Level 4.) Some of the avatars are “event specific.” So, if that event has concluded, those avatars are no longer available. Because this distressed players, the Developers allowed the swapping of the final avatar in a current Castle Challenge with one from a previous Castle Challenge.
There is a separate thread/file on this site that lists when each avatar is unlocked or when it was available.
The Player Profile and Achievement section also shows your in-game player ID (My friend code), how much time you have spent playing the game, how many quests you have completed, how many HOSs you have completed, number of flowers collected, and (when events are current) how much time remains before the current event is concluded.
The right side of the page gives a list of any achievements that can be earned in the game. All of the achievements are listed in a separate thread. (It lists each level requirement for all of the achievements, as well as the reward you will receive.)

Most of the achievements are self-explanatory; however, some have caused a bit of confusion:
Knight Lord – these are the knights to either side of the Castle entry. Move them x number of days in a row for each level of the achievement. If you miss a day, it resets to the beginning of the current part you are on. (The 24-hour day starts at GMT day roll and concludes when the next set of "new day" presents arrive.)
Time is Money – The 24-hour time clock begins when you get coins the first time after logging into the game. You have until that same time (24 hours later) to gather the amount need for part of the achievement you are working on. If you are not logged into the game when that 24 hours are up, then the clock restarts when you DO log back in and gather your first coins.
Tough as a Troll! and Dragon Fighter – Be sure to use the down arrows in the Dice Game to reveal these 2 players.
Treasurer Hunter—These are the chests you get from feeding your pets. Some pets give gold chests more often than others; Griffin does not give gold chests.
Fast Focus, Craftsmith and Morphing Collector – Each level you achieve helps you advance, for instance with Fast Focus, the second part of the achievement is to explore HOS 30 times in 30 minutes…..so the final part starts with you having 30 times completed. Thus, for the final part, you only need to explore 20 more scenes within the 30 minutes time limit.

Market Master -- Purchasing items to enter ZZ, and items from HOSs count toward this achievement. (Bringing back the Airship, opening the Dice Table early, winnings from the Fortune Wheel, entering HOS before cooldown, and items purchased for friends wish lists with coins do not count toward this achievement.) However, items purchased on friends' wish list with diamonds WILL count toward the achievement.
Master of Negotiations – This achievement was added during the Winter 2016 event. Even though the final award is the Snowboarder avatar, trades with the children during any event will count toward this achievement.
Omnipresent – The requirement for completing "daily quests" is really mis-stated in this one. To receive credit, you must complete 30 parts of, 100 parts of, and 500 parts of daily quests. So each part of a regular daily quest will give you credit for this achievement. Players also receive credit for the 1-part quests during seasonal events.

The Airship Tower – The airship icon displays at the beginning of the game (upper right corner of the Castle Vicinity page) and can be opened at any time as long as you are willing to pay the necessary amount of coins (200 coins). However, the game will direct you to opening it at the beginning of Level 5. The airship will sit in “dock” for 16 hours after it comes in. It will leave on its own if you do not send it off. It will return in 4 hours from the time it departs. (You can pay diamonds to bring it back sooner.)
If it departs on its own, or if you decide to send it empty, you receive no reward for the sending. However, if you pack each of the 3 crates, the “send” button will activate. You then receive 15 coins for every item you put in a crate (so if the game asks you for 10 ancient scrolls, you will receive 150 coins when you pack that crate), plus a bag of pet food and a stamp when you send off the airship.
It should also be noted that you can send an entirely full airship (pack all 3 crates) or send a totally empty airship (leaving all 3 crates unpacked). If you click to pack one of the boxes and try to send the airship, the "send" button is not activated and you cannot "uncheck" the box to get back the items (because you have already received coins for that packing). The only way to send a partially loaded airship is to pack one or two of the boxes and let the airship leave at the end of the 16-hour time in dock. And when it leaves, you receive no stamp or pet food.
(Some players choose to send an empty airship when it is asking for an item of which they have very few......the hope is that when the next airship arrives, it will ask for items of which the player has more available.)
During the seasonal events, you may also receive some extra seasonal item when you send off the airship.

The Dice Game – This feature becomes available at Level 4 and will cost 600 coins to open. Initially, the Dice Table had some random item for which you could play a character. However, this was changed when the Castle Challenge feature was introduced. It now will only offer items relative to a character quest listed with Prof. Pinfeathers and when you have zero of that item in inventory. If you have no character quests active, then each player at the Dice Table will offer only coins for winning.
Please pay particular attention to the arrows below the Innkeeper and the Chamberlain…..this indicates that there are additional players with whom you can play. There are a total of 6 characters – Anabel (100), Iron Knight (150), Innkeeper (200), Lord Chamberlain (300), Troll (400), and Dragon (500).
You get 3 rolls of the dice for free. Then the Table closes for a period of 12 hours. If you do not play the Dice Table immediately, it remains open until you do play – the 12-hour timer starts when you have rolled your third time. You can reopen the dice table with diamonds.
4/19/18
The Fortune Wheel – This feature becomes available at Level 3 and costs 600 coins to open. You get one free spin each day….the wheel resets after a 24-hour time limit. It cannot be reset with diamonds. If you do not open it for your free play when it immediately becomes available, the 24-hour timer resets when you take your free turn. You can take additional spins…..the cost for each spin goes up in increments of 100….so the first one is free….the second one would cost 100 coins….the third spin would cost 200 coins….the fourth one would cost 300 coins, etc.
There is an achievement (Egg-Centric) for winning pet eggs from the Fortune Wheel. Sometimes there is a bit of confusion as to what pet eggs qualify for this achievement. If there is only 1 egg required to craft a pet, it is considered a pet egg. However, there are some of the Spring pets that require decorated Spring eggs to craft them. (These are the Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Chimney Sweep, and Cook.) For instance, multiple blue eggs are required to craft the Baby Boy.
To reiterate, the spring eggs that are Blue Egg, Golden Egg, Green Egg, and Red Egg ARE NOT considered to be pet eggs for the purpose of the Egg-Centric achievement. Sometimes players will spin the Fortune Wheel multiple times – to the tune of a boatload of coins – to attempt to get an egg from the Wheel. There has been more than one player who was most disappointed after spinning and receiving several colored eggs --- and then finding out the coins were wasted (regarding the Egg-Centric achievment).
4/19/18
Morphing Flowers – On each location, you will be able to “capture” or “collect” 3 morphing flowers. They will pop up at random spots on the location…..they will NOT be in the HOSs or in the private rooms. When you have collected 5 of them, you will receive 10 coins, a diamond, or a stamp. During regular play (outside of the events), the coins are the most frequent; stamps come sometimes; diamonds are rare.
It takes about 2 minutes for the morphs to “regenerate.” There are some achievements associated with collecting these morphing flowers. During the seasonal events, they change to some other object. So far, it has been as follows:
Spring – eggs
Fall – pumpkins
Winter – snowflakes
During the seasonal events, the coin amount you receive is doubled to 20 coins. The other items you receive for collecting 5 changes with each season. During the seasonal events you also receive diamonds at a much higher rate, so it is important to collect the morphing objects during the seasonal events because of the additional bounty received.
Additional note: There are 2 achievements associated with collecting morphing objects (Morphing Power and Morphing Collector). Any morphing object collected (whether a flower or a seasonal morph) will counted toward these 2 achievements. HOWEVER, the rolling tally (on the left side of your achievement page) that shows the number of "flowers" collected is only increased by collecting the morphing flowers. Morphing eggs, pumpkins, and snowflakes do not impact this total.
