This doesn't sound right to me.  What I'd be linking to is each member's name (that is already like a link).  In other words, I'd create a discussion, then in there would be every member (displayed using their linkable name). Am I saying this right? And is this what the end result would be from your instructions?

I just looked at my name, did a right click, and there is the option to copy the shortcut.  So, if I did that, would it copy my name into the discussion and still be linkable (meaning you could access my profile, PM me, etc)?  That's an easy peasy way to do it, if it'll work!

ETA: I'm going to test it with your name now and see. Test didn't work. It pasted a whole long thing that was not clickable and not shown as Zarknorph. **sigh**

That's exactly what I meant!  So, I guess I need to post here asking if everyone is okay with me doing this in this way. In my mind, it makes sense to have them as clickable so you can reach other from there, like you just did mine (it would be like our address book for PM'ing in BFG).  Otherwise,  it would just be a straight up list.

I hereby ask the members for a majority consensus on which way to go.

I am fine with that! Making names clickable to reach their profile seems AbFab to me, but if it is too tedious for you, you could do a simple list of course!

Hi everyone--So, after discussing it with Jenifer, I can make a complete member list for us.  The question is which option you prefer:

1.  I just go through all the discussions and collect the names of everyone who has signed up, and create an alphabetical list. (It just shows you who all the members are.

2. I go through all the discussions and use Jenifer's instructions to create the alphabetical list, putting your names in as linkable (that is, just like now, you see a friend you want to add as a friend, or PM them, you can click on their name in a post, and it opens their profile page)

Just know that if we all agree to option 2, Jenifer did say it would be an arduous task so it will take me a bit of time to complete it, but I'm happy to do it, if that's what everyone prefers.

So, I hereby ask the members to let me know which option you prefer.

That's okay.  Jenifer kindly made us a home, and so many others are making sure all the comforts we're used to are being moved over as well, so it's the least I can do to help! I'm happy to do it however everyone decides.

No opinion on this, so I'll go with the flow.

That would be great to have a full member list.

But l would prefer to have a list for each platform.

Players on more platforms be on each list.

That would make it so much easier to get in contact

to sort and discuss particular platform issues.
