Love the new "Australian day" header!

Here in the USA, Feb. 2 is Groundhog Day. In the US the "official" groundhog is Punxsutawney Phil located in Punxsutawney, PA. If the groundhog sees his shadow then supposedly that means another 6 weeks of winters. The thing is if those guys would just leave that groundhog alone he wouldn't come out and see his shadow. But, oh no they have go poking him to get him to come out of his home/hole.

Thanks Jenifer, but if you want to do something else that's okay. I say this because I just realized that Feb. 2nd will have come and gone by the time you put up a new header. Gee, the days just whiz by.

I just looked at my calendar and see that Feb. 5th is the Chinese New Year. That would make an interesting header.

We have Groundhog's Day in Canada too.  Wiarton Willy is our official one.  He's an albino groundhog.  So cute!

But I really don't get the theory.  It's supposed to predict EITHER 6 more weeks of winter OR an early spring.  But I live only a couple of hours from Wiarton, and let me tell you, if winter was over by March 16 that would be an early spring!  I can't remember the last time we didn't get snow in April.
