Created during World War I, the name of this drink was supposedly inspired by the fact that taking a sip of it feels like getting shelled with a French 75mm field gun, a powerful piece of artillery.

- 2 oz gin
- 2 dashes simple syrup
- .5 oz lemon juice
- Champagne

Shake gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice with ice. Strain into a champagne glass. Top with champagne.

Hell or High Water (bar Louisville) - When one enters the speakeasy-type lounge, the first stop is a quirky mini-gallery called Hello Curio, which then gives way to a bar space that feels like an escape into a Golden Age movie set, with deep mahogany and red velvet booths. This space then opens up into a two-level library of vintage books complete with a mezzanine.
