Xeme - is a small gull also known as Sabine's gull or the fork-tailed gull. The xeme breeds in colonies on coasts and tundra, laying two or three spotted olive-brown eggs in a ground nest lined with grass. It is very pelagic outside the breeding season.

Zombie Cicadas (Researchers in West Virginia have discovered that cicadas have been infected by a parasitic fungus that takes over their brains. The Massospora fungus contains similar chemicals to hallucinogenic mushrooms and controls the cicadas as it eats away at their bodies. The infected insects will continue to act normal, even as the fungus eats away at their genitals, abdomen, and limbs. They're not dangerous to people)

Cicadas first come in contact with the fungus while underground and those infected can spread it to others once they emerge

So on top of everything else this year, some states are dealing with these.......................
