My first reaction to "Drink Wine Day" was pretty much the same as Maxine's. LOL

Eat An Extra Dessert Day is on September 4th and is a day to throw restrictions out the window and treat yourself to a decadent dessert or two!

The Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991) - was a war waged by coalition forces from 35 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait arising from oil pricing and production disputes. It was codenamed Operation Desert Shield (2 August 1990 – 17 January 1991) for operations leading to the buildup of troops and defense of Saudi Arabia and Operation Desert Storm (17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991) in its combat phase.

Let me know if this doesn't work for the topic Dates.

Hostess Twinkie Day (April 6) - is about celebrating one of America’s favorite snack cakes. Marketed as a “Golden Sponge Cake with Creamy Filling. Twinkies were invented in Schiller Park, Illinois, by James Alexander Dewar, a baker for the Continental Baking Company. Since there were several machines that were used to make the cream-filled strawberry shortcake that was being used during the off strawberry season, Dewar decided to fill a snack cake with banana cream, which he dubbed as the Twinkie.

Another fun fact.....

There is such a thing as a Twinkie law.  According to The New York Post, a Minneapolis, Minnesota city council candidate basically tried to make himself look good by providing older voters with $34.13 in treats that included Twinkies. Sounds sweet, but he actually got into a bit of trouble. After the debacle was over, the state passed a campaign finance law called "the Twinkie law" to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.

Jackie Robinson Day (April 14) - Jackie Robinson Day is a traditional event which occurs annually on April 15 in Major League Baseball, commemorating and honoring the day Jackie Robinson made his major league debut. Celebrated at MLB ballparks, on that one day, all players, coaches, and managers on both teams, and the umpires, wear Robinson's uniform number, 42. April 15 was Opening Day in 1947, Robinson's first season in the major leagues. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 baseball season started in July (instead of April) so Jackie Robinson Day was held on August 28th.

This is Jackie Robinson Day in 2019 at Target Field in Minnesota............you know when things were normal........

Calling it a night...........................
