Hi Everyone 

Finally got to see the eye specialist last Tuesday.  I did go to the optometrist earlier in the year and she gave me new glasses and eye drops but they did not work so I had to wait for the eye specialist.  By the time I got to see him, all I could see with my left eye was just a blur of light with fuzzy colours and my right eye blurred but not as bad.    After he looked at my eyes, he said the problem was a simple one and I needed laser surgery to clean the lens put in when I had my cataracts done 5 years ago.  Lets just say he was not impressed with the optometrist as this was not an issue that glasses help with.  He referred me to the laser specialist and 3 days later, I had my eyes done.  The effects of the eye drops used for the surgery has now worn off and everything is in sharp focus and glorious colour.  

I CAN SEE AGAIN.  You do not realise how much you will miss something until it is no longer there.  Feels great to be able to see clearly again.  Now I will try to catch up with my mail from my wonderful friends - thank you to everyone for being patient.

Hoping! Hoping! Hoping! There will be an Event.  That would be the icing on my MC cake - games back and working except for the "Please wait" issue and me being able to clearly see the bright colours and great artwork in this game.  I have started working on the content updates that I have not done - reached level 111 at the moment.

Great to hear that you are back with great eyesight.  Keep enjoying the game.

Hey Dot !! So happy u can see glorious colour and detail. My hubby has age related wet macular degeneration. He gets blotches partially covering his vision. More and more he relies on peripheral sight. Luckily I can see for him as needed.

me too am hoping for the spring event so will see u round the castle

Fantastic news, that such a simple bit of laser in can give back the sight you had. A credit to you, to persevere on getting something done. 
 

Having worked in eye donation for over 14 years, it always brings a smile to my face to hear of any improvement in a persons sight.

Am very happy that you were able to get your eyesight back. My biggest fear is loss of eyesight. As failing eyesight has been an issue I have almost completely changed my library to Audio books. Love them especially different accents that bring you more into the story.  Have missed you in forum. Sorry you had to go through bad doctor to get care you needed. Everyone should invest themselves in their health care. Request different doc if you can't talk to one given. Take notes ask questions take someone with you if possible to help you understand. Do research on your own.
