How to change password on Delphi   Technical Issues

I have been out of the country for a couple of months and when I came back, it wanted me to login. I have not had to login for years and couldn't come up with the right password, so I had them reset it. The email said:

"We recommend that you change your password once you log in (go to your "Preferences" page.)"

I clicked on my avatar and chose "my preferences".

There was no place to change the password on the preferences page.

I really don't want to have to remember their arbitrary password.

Does anyone know the secret?

When I click on My Preferences this is what I get.  The first thing I see is the ability to change Password. Are you getting this information when you click on My Preferences?

Unfortunately, no. The first field I get is my nickname. Maybe I'll logout and login again.

Logging out/ logging in had no effect.

If you have a pop up blocker on it may be preventing the Change Password field from showing. Try disabling it or access from another browser or device to do so.

Good thought. But stopped ad blocker, tried incognito and used another browser with the same result. I just got a reply from Delphi that says I used twitter to login (I didn't), but at least there is somewhere to start.

Oh it's best to continue dealing with Delphi Staff if you are already dialoging with them as they can see details I cannot.

Maybe they mean the original account was created by logging in from Twitter.

Yes, that was it! When I logged out for the umpteenth time, I saw that I was able to login with twitter and that took care of it! I just didn't remember that I had joined originally with twitter as I rarely do that. I'll have to put that in my notes! Thanks to you both!
