Meet the Press - is a weekly American television news/interview program broadcast on NBC. It is the longest-running program in television history, though the current format bears little resemblance to the debut episode on November 6, 1947. Meet the Press specializes in interviews with leaders in Washington, D.C., across the country and even the world on issues of politics, economics, foreign policy and other public affairs, along with panel discussions that provide opinions and analysis. It originates from NBC's bureau in Washington, D.C. The program has been hosted by 12 different moderators to date, beginning with creator Martha Rountree. The show's moderator since 2014 is Chuck Todd, who also serves as political director for NBC News.
Every Sunday I record and watch this show along with CBS' Face the Nation and ABC's This Week With ... If I could only watch one, this is the one I would watch.

Navy Spurs Amelia Earhart Hunt (In July 1937, U.S. Naval Aviation played a major role in the wide-ranging but ultimately fruitless search for famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan. Amelia Earhart was one of the stars that sparkled in the Golden Age of Aviation and her disappearance in July 1937, has remained one of history’s enduring mysteries)

Harry Smith - is an American television journalist, working for NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC as a senior correspondent. He hosted the CBS News morning programs, The Early Show and its predecessor, CBS This Morning, for seventeen years. In July 2011, Smith left CBS News to become a correspondent for NBC News and the now cancelled newsmagazine Rock Center with Brian Williams. He has also served as an anchor for MSNBC, conducting daytime live coverage of breaking news and events since first appearing in November 2015.
I have to say, Harry Smith is my all-time favorite news person. I first started watching him on CBS This Morning back around 1998. He was the only reason I continued to watch that morning show (and later The Early Show) and I was very disappointed when CBS revamped the show in 2010 and came up with a whole new crew. That was the end of watching that show. I was pleasantly surprised to find him with NBC about a year later. I don't know ... there's just something down-to-earth about Harry that makes me feel like I can believe what he says.
