Eeyore's Birthday Party (Last Sat in April) - Eeyore's Birthday Party is a day-long festival taking place annually in Austin, Texas since 1963. It typically occurs on the last Saturday of April in Austin's Pease District Park. It includes live music, food and drink vending which benefit local non-profit organizations, attendees in colorful costumes, and very large drum circles. The event is frequented by children and families, with specific events presented for them by the event organizers. The festival is named in honor of Eeyore, a character in A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories.

Get a Different Name Day (Feb 13) - Get a Different Name Day is dedicated to all those who hate their birth names. According to the creators of the day, "On this day we may change our names to whatever we wish and have the right to expect colleagues, family and friends to so address us." It appears to be a tongue-in-cheek holiday where people aren't necessarily making their name changes legally. Although today's holiday is for those who change their name because they dislike it, there are many other reasons why people make a switch.

My favorite different name is the one Karen Walker used as her alias on Will & Grace. I used to use it when I went on Union trips..................

Anastasia Beaverhausen

Karen Walker uses the alias "Anastasia Beaverhausen."

Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the old year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year in the Scottish manner. It is normally followed by further celebration on the morning of New Year's Day or, in some cases, 2 January—a Scottish bank holiday

Curious Questions: Why is New Year called 'Hogmanay' in Scotland? - Country Life

Information Overload Day (Oct 20) - Information Overload Day was established by a group of companies looking to bring awareness to what happens when you overload your employees and customers with far too much information.  "There's only a finite amount of time you have each day to spend doing anything, and you just run out of time." October 20 was declared Information Overload Awareness Day by a group of companies and academics focused on workplace productivity and emerging technology.

Jump for Jelly Beans Day (July 31) - These tiny candies evolved from an ancient confection called “Turkish delight,” which was one of the earliest forms of hard candy. Our modern-day jelly beans gained popularity during the American Civil War. A candy company in Boston began marketing jelly beans as the perfect treat to send to soldiers, and soon everyone was hooked. One of the most famous jelly bean fans is President Ronald Reagan. He served them at his inauguration!

Kitchen Klutzes of America Day (June 13) - All kitchen klutzes of America today can relax. It's their day, that is why even if everything goes wrong and the pie and cookies are burnt, all fingers are cut, the glass is broken, the roast is underdone, relax, don't worry and be happy. These things happen from time to time even to the chefs! The restaurant chefs, when they were apprentices, used salt instead of sugar, soda instead of baking powder and spilled milk. So let's face the truth: everyone has a bad day in the kitchen. Today you have to enjoy, as far as June 13 is only yours holiday. While everyday celebrates some kind of food, Kitchen Klutzes of America Day is only for you and it honors your everyday struggles to make breakfast or delicious dinner for your family. Don't worry and keep a medical kit (together with fire extinguisher) in the kitchen.
