Skip-It (is a children's toy invented by Avi Arad, Maggie Harvey and Mel Kennedy and manufactured by Tiger Electronics. The Skip-It apparatus was designed to be affixed to the child's ankle via a small plastic hoop and spun around in a 360 degree rotation while continuously skipped by the user. Time magazine included it in their 100 greatest toys ever.  Originally released in the '80s, then rereleased with a makeover a decade later, the Skip-It was one of the most popular toys of the '90s. It even forced you to get off the couch and hop around)

Violent Cop 1990

"Beat" Takeshi's directorial breakthrough stars himself, of course, as a blank, bullish cop dealing with his problems very, very badly. As he strides around a grey, cluttered Tokyo in search of drug pushers and crooked feds, there are lots of eerie existential pauses followed by increasingly nasty confrontations, very few of which end well. Quietly, brutally brilliant.

The World Trade Center bombing on Feb. 26, 1993, was a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City when a truck bomb detonated below the North Tower of the complex. The 1,336 lb (606 kg) urea nitrate–hydrogen gas enhanced device was intended to send the North Tower (Tower 1) crashing into the South Tower (Tower 2), bringing both towers down and killing tens of thousands of people. It failed to do so, but killed six people, including a pregnant woman, and injured over one thousand. About 50,000 people were evacuated from the buildings that day.

I remember those. Back then we thought it was wonderful!

The Arsenio Hall Show (1989-1994) - Comedian Arsenio Hall was the king of late-night television for five years. With his high top fade, funk house band (the Posse) and swagger, Hall (who also co-starred in the 1988 Eddie Murphy comedy Coming to America) changed the cultural landscape of talk shows—and showed how impossibly behind the times Carson, Leno and company were in the process. The Arsenio Hall Show distinguished itself by targeting audiences that had been largely ignored by other late-night talk shows. It offered a platform for Black celebrities, introducing hip hop to middle America with guests like Public Enemy, Tupac and Biggie, and hosting unforgettable performances by Michael Jackson and Prince.

I still have an external zip drive..........
