"Un-Break My Heart" (1996) - is a song recorded by American singer Toni Braxton for her second studio album, Secrets. It was released as the second single from the album in October 21, 1996, through LaFace Records. The song is a ballad about a "blistering heartbreak" in which the singer begs a former lover to return and undo the pain he has caused. It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart the week of Dec. 7. 1996 and stayed #1 for 11 weeks. It won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards in 1997. It has sold over 10 million copies worldwide nearly 3 million in the United States alone, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. Originally, Braxton didn't like the song and didn't want to do it. Later it became her signature song.

One of my favorite shows, couldn't get enough of Karen and Jack..........started to watch the reboot but since I loved the ending of the original so much and I felt like it was all forgotten, I just couldn't get into it and it didn't have the same feel.......
X-INXS (is Australian rock band INXS's seventh studio album, released on 25 September 1990. The follow-up to the massive seller Kick, X scored hits with "Suicide Blonde" and "Disappear". Both singles were later used in the soundtrack to the 1991 American teen comedy Mystery Date. Two other singles from X were "Bitter Tears" and "By My Side" but they had less chart success. A fifth single, "The Stairs", was only issued in the Netherlands to coincide with the release of the Live Baby Live album)
Calling it a night.........................
Hi Dorie and welcome to the forum and our Alpha Game!
In the Alpha Game someone has picked a topic and we try to post things - alphabetically - to do with that topic. We do 10 rounds for the topic and then the person who posted the last "Z" gets to choose the next topic. Generally, we're not supposed to repeat a topic but it's getting harder and harder to find good topics since we're now on our 159th topic. When choosing a topic we have to keep in mind the hard letters such as J, Q, X and Z and that's what makes finding a good topic hard.
Click here for "rules" found in the first posting of this thread. Some of the rules have changed out of necessity.
The topic we're currently working with is The 1990s. What you posted about apples is a very interesting fact but it doesn't seem to qualify because there is nothing to indicate it occurred in the 1990s and it doesn't follow alphabetically. Since the last post was about X-INXS by Tammy we're looking for something that starts with Y.
It may seem a little hard to play but once you get the hang of it it's a lot of fun. And we learn some stuff along the way.
Good luck and jump in when you have something to add.
"Weird Al" Yankovic released his seventh studio album in 1992 - Off the Deep End. This was the first album self-produced by Yankovic, after six albums with Rick Derringer. Recorded between June 1990 and January 1992, the album was a follow-up to the unsuccessful soundtrack to Yankovic's 1989 film UHF. Off the Deep End and its lead single "Smells Like Nirvana" helped to revitalize Yankovic's career after a lull following his last hit single, "Fat", in 1988.

Atlantis docks with Mir (NASA and the Russian space agency kicked off a new era in international space cooperation in June of 1995, when the Space Shuttle Atlantis docked with the Russian space station Mir for the first time. Atlantis' mission, STS-71, launched on June 27 and marked the 100th U.S. human space launch. Together, Atlantis and Mir became the largest combined spacecraft ever in orbit, totaling almost a half a million pounds. For the docking, Shuttle Commander Hoot Gibson positioned Atlantis directly below Mir, so that the Earth's gravity naturally braked the orbiter's approach "up" to Mir. The final approach rate of about an inch per minute ended 216 nautical miles above Russia's Lake Baykal region, with a nearly perfect docking, off by less than one inch and one half a degree. The Shuttle-Mir program included 11 Space Shuttle flights and 7 astronaut residencies on Mir, and helped pave the way for the International Space Station now in orbit)
