Every agnostic is an atheist.

That's right John, because an atheist is a person who does not believe in God of gods.

It's why I call myself an agnostic atheist in my profile. Perhaps unbeliever would be better but I belong very much on the atheist end of the scale of agnosticism.

I can think of at least a thousand things to call myself an agnostic about. So what's the point?

Atheism is not a degree of agnosticism. They are completely different things. Answers to completely different questions. There is no such scale.

Try telling that to someone who claims they have a relationship with their personal god. Some people live with absolute certainty, I do not and am happy being a shade of grey.

An atheist is a person who does not believe in a God of gods. An agnostic does not believe in a God or gods, so an agnostic is a kind of atheist.... Most atheists on the forum where I recently came from call themselves agnostic atheists because they don't say they know that God does not exist, although they don't believe that God exists because they don't think there is any evidence.

Here's a hint. An atheist doesn't believe in any god. FULL STOP! No atheist would use your bald faced assertion as a qualifier.
