I've only been on an airplane twice ... and only out of complete necessity.  Didn't read while on the plane ... too scared to move, let alone read.  :-)  Don't ever plan to be another plane ... and definitely no trips to the airport for any reason  :-)

My grand-daughter likes finding new book bags for me ..and of course all the sayings or pictures on them have to do with reading and/or books

Generally speaking, my shirts that have graphics are used mostly for when I run around the house  :)

That's a really good question!  I haven't been to an airport in a lot of years.  I'm certainly not going to drive to Sky Harbor to check them out  :-)

Maybe someone here can answer this!

Oh yes, I agree.  Random:  one of my favorite books is To Kill a Mockingbird, and I feed the birds in my yard.  I have a mockingbird out there now.  I listen to it go through its repertoire of different bird songs.  I do love to watch birds, but have a serious fear of them as well.

I used to have a shirt with that saying.

I hear you on the shirt thing.  But mine is opposite.  When I try to find something that doesn't have words and pictures, I am at a total loss.  I need some shirts that don't say anything.  Sheesh!

Oh Linda, I love to fly.  The raw power I feel on takeoff thrills me to my toes.  Landings are a little scary sometimes.  I went through a really scary landing once in Newark.  The plane was tipping from side to side, and I watched the wing come close to the tarmac.  Ooh, scary.  I usually read on the plane and only stop when I have a fun person sitting next to me and we yak the whole time.

Landing in Denver once, everyone applauded the pilot for his absolutely perfect landing when he came out of the cockpit.  We almost couldn't feel the wheels touch down.  Wow!  On a flight back home from New York once, we were delayed for about 45 minutes because of a thunderstorm.  They re-routed the flight and we took off!  The pilot came on the intercom a little later and told those of us sitting on the right side of the plane (yay, me) to look out the window to see the thunderstorm from above.  OMG!  I cannot describe what that was like.  I could see the lightning starting up high and booming down to the ground. I could see it moving through the clouds.  The delay was worth it.

I also love thunderstorms...

Yes, they do still sell books at airports.  Hudson News is one of those stores.  I always have my own book and don't really enjoy magazines.  :3

Only twice omg and lol. I started flying (alone!) when I was 17 and have lost count how many times I've flown since.  Most, however, were before 9/11 made it such a misery. In fact, I flew to Florida the weekend BEFORE that happened, and then to New Orleans in April of 2002, when it wasn't yet as bad as it is now (flying).  I don't mind the actual flying; it's the claustrophobia that gets me. Knowing that I'm trapped in something with all those people and No Exit terrifies me. I always have to know where the exits are but when you're 8 miles high or 30,000 feet or whatever it is, there's no way out. That said, I'd far prefer to fly than drive; safer statistically and way faster than driving which makes my spine feel like it's in hell.

I could use a new book bag; I'm currently using one that's too small and says Neiman Marcus all over it. It was my mother's and no idea where she got it; she never set foot in Neiman Marcus in her life. She ordered her clothes from catalogues that specialised in pastel polyester lol.

I dislike wearing shirts with graphics because they call attention to my chest. Nature thought it was a joke to put a full cup on a 105 lb frame. So even my round-the-house shirts are plain--and tend to be boys size large that I pick up at thrift stores--so comfy!  I will have to look for a new(er) book bag now that shopping restrictions are being lifted.

Um--I admit I ANSWER the mockingbirds, and they answer me back! We have lengthy conversations in Bird.  I'm reduced to talking to birds while socially isolating oh lol!

I loved the book .. .loved the movie.  It's one of my books that I re-read every year or so.

We don't get too many birds around here .. some black birds with really sharp looking bills  and of course, quail  :-)
