Akcakale, Turkey — Turkey launched airstrikes and fired artillery aimed at crushing Kurdish fighters in northern Syria on Wednesday after U.S. troops pulled back from the area, paving the way for an assault on forces that have long been allied with the United States. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of the campaign, which followed an abrupt decision Sunday by U.S. President Trump that American troops would step aside to allow for the operation.

Mr. Trump's move has drawn harsh bipartisan opposition at home. It represents a shift in U.S. policy that essentially abandoned the Syrian Kurdish fighters who have been America's only allies inside Syria in the fight against ISIS.

Mr. Trump offered no explicit condemnation of Turkey in a statement Wednesday.

So far the warbird folks will love watching the Turkish A/F F4 Phantoms.... Let's see if see some start MIG 21's chasing them...

I wondering how quickly some manpads will suddenly appear in the Kurds arsenal ...

This BS is just insane.

The United States has and was bending over backwards to address all security concerns for Turkey. There was no imminent threat. This has nothing to do with Turkey’s security. It’s part of a plan to extend Turkey’s border 30km into Syria. Erdogan has been transparent about this.

Bottom line, donnie boy (the MF) has blood on his hands . . . and no doubt has seriously put in jeopardy any alliance with allies . . .

So those on the left call the right war mongers. We finally have a President not subject to being purchased bt the global war-mongering bankers, he has the courage to speak the truth "we should never have been in the Middle East" yet the democrat fools want the pay-offs, the profiting on the lives of our young men and women, want us to stay and "fight".

With the exception of the evil Bush family it is demo-rats that have started wars and conservatives who have ended them.

GOP Rep. Liz Cheney Tells Fox News Turkey Invaded Syria Because Democrats Launched Impeachment Inquiry Against Trump

Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney claimed in an interview with Fox News on Monday morning that Democrats are to blame for Turkey's invasion of Syria because they launched an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, despite the fact that the president withdrew U.S. forces from the Middle Eastern nation to give the Turkish forces the greenlight to enter.

"I also want to say that the impeachment proceedings that are going on and what the Democrats are doing themselves to try to weaken this president is part of this," Cheney, who represents Wyoming and is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, argued.

"It was not an accident that the Turks chose this moment to roll across the border," she claimed. "And I think the Democrats have got to pay very careful attention to the damage that they're doing with the impeachment proceedings."

ROTFLMAO at you and that horseshit - which is flushed down the toilet due to donnie boy sending troops to Saudia Arabia then increasing the number of troops sent there by another 3 thousand . . . perhaps you could somehow make a case that Saudia Arabia is not in the Middle East . . .
