I am finding it hard to find friends when I click on the profiles,  Lots of names there that I don't recognise.  Can hardly find my friends.

Calling on Jenifer, Kid and CStar1 (?) regarding a master member list.  Just had a thought about it and wanted to run it by you to ask if this is something that's doable or not.

Since our names are already like a link (our profile and such), would it be possible to make a master member list using our linkable names? So, the list would basically be like a list of links by member name (preferably in alphabetical order)?  As new people sign up keep adding them to the master member list.  I hope you get what I'm trying to suggest.

To create a link, type in what you want it to say.

Link to Members page

Then, click the link button

It's the chain in the third top panel from the left.

A dialogue box opens

Put the URL in the field: http://forums.delphiforums.com/midnightcastle/messages/107/146

Click Okay.

Now Link to Members Page is exactly what it says.

You just have to decide what you want to link to.

This doesn't sound right to me.  What I'd be linking to is each member's name (that is already like a link).  In other words, I'd create a discussion, then in there would be every member (displayed using their linkable name). Am I saying this right? And is this what the end result would be from your instructions?

I just looked at my name, did a right click, and there is the option to copy the shortcut.  So, if I did that, would it copy my name into the discussion and still be linkable (meaning you could access my profile, PM me, etc)?  That's an easy peasy way to do it, if it'll work!

ETA: I'm going to test it with your name now and see. Test didn't work. It pasted a whole long thing that was not clickable and not shown as Zarknorph. **sigh**

That's exactly what I meant!  So, I guess I need to post here asking if everyone is okay with me doing this in this way. In my mind, it makes sense to have them as clickable so you can reach other from there, like you just did mine (it would be like our address book for PM'ing in BFG).  Otherwise,  it would just be a straight up list.

I hereby ask the members for a majority consensus on which way to go.

Please let me know so I can get this party started for you!
