Voting rights should NEVER be a Dem/Rep/Green/Lib or whatever party issue. Everyone who has the legal right to vote must be allowed to do so. Without roadblocks.

Unfortunately, the Republicans have lost the majority in so many states, on so many issues, that they have resorted to deciding whos votes they will count, and where. If it is obviously not going to go their way, then prevent voters from voting.

What happens is that Mussolini type "Black Shirts" might be hanging around the poll places, intimidating voters from entering, staring over them, whilst a kindly neighbor can't even give a bottle of water to someone standing for hours to take their right to vote.

Next, in the Trumpian counties, can we expect Grannie to be kicked over the curb? Not if she's white, I guess.

Unfortunately the notion that only a select few should be able to vote is the basis of the US democratic process.

It, unfortunately is an electoral process. If we got rid of the Electoral college, and went strictly by the popular, Democratic vote, we wouldn't have had to endure some of the last Republican presidents, who only won by gerrymandering.

*I mean Democratic vote, not by party, but by "one person, one vote" count.
