sink and toliet are staying....it is just remove the tub for a shower stall...which is still a big job Brian is getting the area ready....needs some more 2x4 and some "nailers" I am just doing ordinary stuff....planning dinner etc....have a good day...
Good morning Kitty. Really warm this week, not like Sanibel though.
Don't you need a tub sometimes for aches and pains?
I opened the pool but it might have a leak to fix and the salt isn't up
to 3200 ppm yet. Shock is very expensive. I ran out in the Fall and
didn't realize there would be a chlorine shortage. DE for our filter
has doubled in price, also, for some reason. I have enough DE for
the filter for this first run. Getting the chlorinator generating chlorine
quickly and we can skip the expensive shock.
Brandy not doing so well. Won't do any good to amputate her leg. She
would only live about 10 months and be in pain anyway. So with intervenous
pain killer at the hospital and pain pills here she can live normally for 6 to 10
weeks. So I woke up and knew my wife would be trying to stay up until 3 AM
to give her pills, so I got up at 2. Will get some more sleep after med time.
When our first daughter was born I was in Army basic training. When the second
daughter was born I was in college full time and working full time.
I think Brandy will be able to go on short walks with the pain killers while we say
goodbye to her.
Enjoy your warm weather.
we don't live in Sanibel anymore...permanently in Conn. and so we are happy with sunshine and 65 degrees PT went well just wish the pain would disappear maybe if I do the exercises more....it is hard to be motivated when it hurts when you move.....oldest daughter and our son are both in Iowa visited our new great grandson....they text with live visit with him and I got to sing a lullaby to him....what a bright eyed baby he is....I wish Brandy well
I am so sorry to read Brandy is not doing well.
Good morning Kitty. Sounds like fun, talking with your great grandson in Iowa. I
think that's the last place I slept a night when I rode a bike back from California.
Didn't make it back for my high school reunion but I did make it for the afterwards
party. Was very tired though. Think I stayed near North Platte, Iowa.
Brandy is doing well on her pain meds for now but like all of us she will get worse
with time. We have this short time with her.
Pool has a leak, adjusted the valve so the water can drop below the skimmer and
take all it's water from the main drain in the bottom. Then have to fix it when the
leak stops at the leaking level.
Have a good day.
My bike at Yosmite National Park, Calif.
Thanks, she's one of my very best friends.
I am so sorry to hear of the news about Brandy. That's a tough one. I didn't quite read when you have an appointment with the oncologist.
We bought a ramp for Finn to get up into the car. He was petrified of it. A neighbor loaned us a large harness with two handles to lift him up into the back seat if necessary. It's hard for me with my cane to do so now. Last night, we went and looked at a set of steps. He did go up them and into the back seat. Wouldn't come out of the car for about thirty minutes and then we had to lift him up with the harness. It's all an act of love....... He is healing. The Vet said "all healed" just not to let him get rambunctious.
I'm in PT, two days a week. Left the walker and onto the cane. Here in the house I don't use the cane. Can't say I'm totally pain free yet (about 3 Ibuprofen a day). Knee stiff upon rising. Not bad for entering five weeks.
Keep the Faith.
Hi Miss Kitty,
We will be in the mid 70's today too. Seems like everyone plants annuals etc. very early up here. I actually believe even though we are "north" of our home in North Canton, the Lake gives some type of protection and we may be in a different planting zone. I'm so old school ~ I wait until Memorial Day.
Unfortunately with that thinking, a lot of annuals are picked over. I will probably get my zonal geraniums and euphorbia for the planters and then fill in with the usual impatients, etc. We plan to go to a fun herb farm about an hour away on Saturday. I love planting my herbs in the garden and in pots.
Finn is healed. I am healing. Can't say I love PT but it is necessary. Using a cane....but that's not bad or not quite five weeks out.
Enjoy the day. Meeting some friends at a park just to sit on chairs and talk.
Good morning Susan. Hope to have 6 weeks to say goodbye to Brandy. She has good
parts of the day and bad ones. Good chance we don't have that much time. I take her
out for walks because sitting around the house isn't much.
Glad Finn's surgery worked and yours.
Doing maintenance on our cars, bike was done long ago.
Wife and one daughter will go to the green houses soon to get tons of flowers, so far
wife just picked up a few at Lowes.
Have a good day.
