Spring Has Arrived started late for me with the world’s troubles! I don’t think I need to remind anyone?
But I managed to get through the Event, Until.....I received a message telling me we want to update. I proceeded with the update and lost the entire Spring Has Arrived Event!
All my effort and hard-work was gone
Sad thing is, I missed out on receiving the beautiful Fairy ??
Has anyone else experienced this same problem?
Unfortunately you're not the only one who had the issue of losing a game. I had 7 friends who lost their games during this event and each had different outcomes after contacting Big Fish. You'll find other discussion about this issue in the Technical Issues folder.
Savina, that is really odd. I believe the Spring Event only has one day left and it looks like they jumped the gun with your game it early. I can't believe you managed to get through the whole Event only to have it disappear on you. If you close out the game and log back in, is the SE still gone?
The one piece of good news I can give you is that you will probably get another chance to get the pretty Spring Fairy avatar. For the last year or so they've let us choose our final reward avatar in any Castle Challenge. The last avatar in the challenge has a little blue button with a white circling arrow. If you click on the circling arrow button you can swap out that avatar for any of the previous Castle Challenge avatars. You can change your mind as many times as you want until the end of the challenge.
It's only the final avatar you can change, the two others in that Castle Challenge are fixed, whether you are fans of them or not. Letting us choose that last one is one of my favorite game developments.
Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you, I have a new baby dachshund who’s keeping me busy.
I don’t have any of the things that you have described to me. I’m playing with an iPad?
That maybe why I don’t see what your seeing?
No worries. I'm not in the forum every day myself. Okay, so now we're in a new Castle Challenge. So look at that final reward avatar. At his eye level, there should be a blue circle with circling white arrows on the right side (almost covering his Stage Right eye, or what would be your left eye if you were actually him).
If your game is working correctly, you should be able to tap on that blue circle. Now you should be able to swipe right or left and see all the past CC reward avatars you haven't earned yet. You can choose a new one by tapping on the check mark inside the blue circle below the avatar you want instead of "Man With Cane", which is the final reward avatar for the current Castle Challenge. Note that it is ONLY a final reward avatar that has this option to swap out the reward avatar.
That's how it should be working.
HOWEVER, I'm seeing that there are some reports of people playing on IOS that either cannot change that final avatar this time, or cannot change their mind once they've swapped out the reward (you should be able to change your mind as much as you want until it's time to actually claim the reward, but heads up that you may not be able to change your mind if you're playing on IOS and might get stuck with the first swap-out you select).
Since you know exactly what you want, you don't actually need the warning about the possible "no backsies" on the IOS platform, but I wanted to include that for other readers.
Do let me know if you can't change your final reward avatar at all. I'm not tech support or in contact with game developers, but I think there are others on the forum who might have a direct line to report the issue.
