Generations have attended including both my children and grandchildren!
Happy Mew Year For Cats Day ( Jan 2) - It’s Happy Mew Year for Cats Day on January 2nd. Not only does this day give us a reason to slip a little more catnip to our furry felines, it also gives cats in need the chance for a fresh start. The founders, Tom and Ruth Roy, wanted cats to have a very special New Year's celebration all to themselves.
This one does not look happy or amused.........

The 1883 Krakatoa eruption in the Sunda Strait began on the afternoon of Sunday, 26 August 1883—with origins as early as that May—and peaked on the late morning of Monday, 27 August 1883, when over 70% of the island of Krakatoa and its surrounding archipelago were destroyed as it collapsed into a caldera.
The eruption was one of the deadliest and most destructive volcanic events in recorded history and explosions were so violent that they were heard 3,110 kilometres (1,930 mi) away in Perth, Western Australia, and Rodrigues near Mauritius, 4,800 kilometres (3,000 mi) away. At least 36,417 deaths are attributed to the eruption and the tsunamis it created. The sound was claimed to be heard in 50 different locations around the world and the sound wave is recorded to have travelled the globe 7 times over.
Let's Laugh Day (March 18) - Each year, National Let's Laugh Day on March 19th reminds us to add a little humor to our day. It's never good to be serious all the time and letting the laughter bubble up from time to time is good for all of us!
