Yeah great, its been like 2.5 months since my slip or i would be soon celebrating like 9 months.
Good thing is i have tried quitting like 20X, lol. I make it 3 days or even a week, then my guard goes down. Im not gonna lie, its been hard today i have been tempted to buy a pack a couple times, its the fourth of july eve here in the states, big celebrations. Hope i can make it, but a few quits that i have had have started on a Wednesday, i know most people say start on a Monday, new week, fresh start.
I know you have had many attempts as well, hope everything else is good with you.
My longest quit is 47 days I did back in October last year, since then i have been hopping on and off this merry go round, no good! Will see if I can last all of July for starters, at just one day at a time. Yes it's been about 20 quits since October, then up to now. Just have to maintain the rage against cigarettes, they are Killers! Cigarettes lull you into a false sense of security that's what I have found after you have been quit for few days, then its a knowing glance at a pack of cigarettes, tat fuels a desire, then a thought I'll just have one, you resist, then before you know it your smoking again, Urgh!!! Maintain the Rage.
Yes there is plenty of junkie thinking of having just one. I made it yesterday, it wasn't easy.. today a full 36 hours after last cig, feels more manageable. I lost my quit in the Spring this year going from Winter to Spring triggered me to smoke this happened around April 21, since then i have tried to quit 20 times. Looking back the past 2 months i have probably been quit half that time as well, just want to stop it for a longer stretch than a week..
Oh my gosh, I pray I can stick this landing. At 95 days...still every late afternoon and evening I’m grinding through the just one angst. And today it didn’t even wait for afternoon, struggled at 10 am
Happy 4th, yeah i know. I had a stressful call this morning, a property i manage, a guy got his van broken into and all his tools stolen, im thinking thats it im going to the convenience store to buy a pack, cause im used to dealing w everything w a cig. I did not, but it did not go well when i got there, yelling etc. I have since turned my phone off for today, im gonna stick to original plan and bike ride to lake.
I know its hard in the evening for me as well, but am dealing w it with doing other things instead, a walk around the neighborhood, take in the nice flower smells in the morning..
Wow junkie thinking right now. It's tough. I knew it was going to be tough . Oh come on just one hit one that joint. Ok no tobacco just smoke a weed joint. Brother sister and father smokes. NOPE
Hopping on to this quit train with ya'll for the umpteenth time. I chose July 4th because it's a date I will remember and If I reach 1 year-god willing- there will be fireworks!! so here I go again. Everyone says the first three days are the worst but for me it's day 4. I see some old friends here so I am not alone.

Welcome back. Yes I remember you posting in the past. I am on day 3, i biked yesterday to our beautiful lake here in Chicago, they have done such an excellent job keeping our lakefront as a park space.. miles and miles of it, and i a world that has so many rules, you can go swimming at many spots here without lifeguards which is awesome, at your own risk. Water was awesome. I would say 99.9 % of the people on the lake were not smoking, at least they weren't smoking cigarettes, lol. Its hard to quit and have a ton of stress on top of it in the beginning, I had slipped back in April and have tried quitting like 20 times since then. I believe its better on the no smoking side.
I think maybe one of the big reasons for my slip was not rewarding myself for being quit after January, up until then i was buying myself something, and then i stopped. So that may be a big reason., and junkie thinking
