I have no idea what I would think if I was Canadian. As a U.S.resident, their system is none of my business.
You can have an opinion, surely?
I would not mind. Tradition is important.
SOME tradition is important. Some tradition is not. The oppression of women was traditional, slavery was traditional...
In 2021 a tradition that involves the notion of the superiority of one person and the concomitant inferiority of everyone else is surely not important to perpetuate?
Only if the residents feel inferior. Clearly they do not and don’t care. It’s your issue, not theirs.
It doesn't really matter whether they FEEL inferior or not. Their system means they are inferior whether they think about it or feel it...if one person is on top everyone else is underneath.
In your country, the way to describe the president is excellent; "Primus inter Pares"...first among equals. Says it all about democracy...
Well, that is your opinion. I’m ready to continue talking about Meghan and Harry.
They are part of the nonsense.... :-)
They have their own nonsense going on.
