It's outstanding Roger Scruton mentioned Qutb and how he was jailed and executed for his radical preaching just as they have done with Mohamed Morsi in Egypt!

Outside his career as a philosopher and writer, Scruton was involved in the establishment of underground universities and academic networks in Soviet-controlled Central Europe during the Cold War, and he has received a number of awards for his activities in this area. In June 2016 he was created a Knight Bachelor by Queen Elizabeth II in the Birthday Honours list published on the Queen's 90th birthday.

I've noticed that you have updated your interesting link - whereas it gives out historical facts by a philosopher and historian... it legally preambles our lives through a huge gap of culture... I wonder why deleting videos happens around some sites so OFTEN?
Thank you for sharing brilliant topics!

The massive opposition makes a lot of disgruntle people but we get along without killing each other... you won't find this in the third world!

My favourite on democracy!
''The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.''

It's admirably cool how Roger Scruton calmly explains the Arab spring situation and how badly it turned out for everyone - who would have thought??!

The lack of democracy in the middle east isn't the problem - most of the time it's never followed and freedom of speech, human rights is absolutely lacking.... haven't we seen enough?

From where I stand; I think the most problematic conditions is when people are too busy to realise what happens around them among certain situations, unless there's an uproar with civil disobediences and a lot of victims fall into a dramatic events and become targets as it happened in Tunis when the Arab Spring started and it propagated all over the north African continent right into Syria.

You can disagree on political issues but there's no need to kill each other for it, but that is not a rule of laws in some countries!
There cannot be peace and harmony among communities unless we stand up with an unbowed mentality!

There is no democracy among tribalism, that what I have seen the past few years!
