White nationalists did not show up for the Super Bowl weekend rally they’d planned at a Confederate memorial outside Atlanta, leaving more than 100 leftist marchers to march through the park, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

More than 100 counter-protestors, many masked and several carrying guns, still showed up to march, chanting slogans including like “Good night, alt right,” “the KKK stayed home today” and “Death to the Klan.”

At one point the protesters burned a Klansman in effigy.

Pretty smart, stir up the opposition and then let them make fools of themselves; low risk, good news item.

So the demonstrators who showed up made 'fools of themselves'?

Explain, please..

Some do not read posts and references, all the following is from post one and its references.

At one point the protesters burned a Klansman in effigy

NEW DETAILS: Protesters march on Stone Mountain Village after park is closed

For about an hour Saturday morning, they marched around the town, shouting slogans like “Good night, alt right” and “Death to the Klan.” Protesters burned a Klansman in effigy, and held signs that proclaimed “Sandblast Stone Mountain,” “Death to the KKK” and “Dixie be damned.”

Many of the protesters had handkerchiefs over their faces, and several carried guns.

Armed demonstrators - who had earlier attended a rally in Stone Mountain Village to protest against white nationalists - keep watch during a rally in Piedmont Park Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019. The Atlanta event was sponsored by the NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Southern Poverty Law Center and activist groups Alliance for Black Lives and Georgia Alliance for Social Justice to spotlight racial inequality in the state. Bike (URALTOURIST1) said...

Many of the protesters had handkerchiefs over their faces, and several carried guns.

After that statement you sure tried to give the impression that some armed demonstrators were sponsored by the NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Southern Poverty Law Center and activist groups Alliance for Black Lives and Georgia Alliance for Social Justice. You sure could have included the following (because as you say some do not read posts and references)

When they left Stone Mountain, many of the protesters went to Piedmont Park, where a coalition of civil rights groups was holding a Super Bowl weekend rally to call national attention to continuing racial inequality. Atlanta police estimated the crowd at fewer than 150 people.

NICE TRY. Neonazis use this tactic. Did you learn how to do that at some alt right site?

Not at all, just because a person goes to a rally does not make them a member of anybody's posse.  You can be or act an ass for any person or reason, sometimes just doing something stupid makes you an ass.  Burning an effigy, wearing combat gear to a politically charged event and wearing masks all qualify.

NONE of the right wingers were at any of the sites, they had cancelled, only rabble went to the site of the Stone Mountain event and then they went over to the other event in town.

It is never foolish to resist, disparage, or protest against white nationalists, Nazis, and racists. Being "antifa" should be the default position of every good American.

What is an assult rifle?

No where did I say anything like that, the reference referred to guns, I never said even that.
