Florida Gov. Rick Scott gets run out of Starbucks by an enraged customer, called an asshole and embarrassment.
Trump-loving Florida Gov. Rick Scott received a scalding order at a Starbucks in Gainesville Tuesday - and it definitely wasn't a coffee. An enraged customer was caught on camera chewing out the Sunshine State's bumbling leader, calling him an "a--hole" and an "embarrassment" and running him out of the cafe empty-handed.

Obama with a bit of humor in Chicago ...
"When I look at Merrick Garland, yeah, he's a white guy but he's a really outstanding jurist. Sorry."
"At no point did I say: 'I need a black lesbian from Skokie in that slot. Can you find me one?'" Mr. Obama said. "That’s not how I approached it."
CHICAGO - For a dozen years at the University of Chicago Law School, President Obama taught students the finer points of constitutional jurisprudence, preaching what he would later try to put into practice in the Oval Office.

it seems the insidious creep of fundamentalism works well with texting. Text talaq talaq talaq and you're wife is divorced, I suppose it does save on lawyer fees and such, so that's one plus. Nowhere in the article is any mention of the wife having the same option, I guess the thought just wouldn't even occur to anyone.
Muslim women in India are petitioning the country's Supreme Court to ban 'triple talaq' as a means of instant divorce, arguing it is unconstitutional, discriminatory and contrary to Islamic law. A 'triple talaq' allows a husband to instantly divorce his wife, either orally or in writing, simply by repeating the term 'talaq' - or divorce - three times.

Given the Senate he might just as well have nominated a Black Lesbian from Skokie, preferably one who votes a strait communist party ticket.

Well that would have given them a solid reason to deny confirmation instead of floundering about and coming up with no excuse for the lack of action.
I can understand why the Republicans don't want to confirm another Justice, but the refusal to even talk to the man and perhaps go through the motions before denying, is another manifestation of their lack of respect and total rejection of the President, from immediately after the first election and here the NO! just a couple of hours after the death of Scalia.

Scalia died, and he managed to die during the term of a Democratic president. Obama nominated a well respected judge. I understand that the requirement that they approve an appointment gives them veto power, but not even holding hearings sounds as if they don't want to do their job. If this was 1965, he would have been in office already.
