Perfect close to the first evening of summer, fresh rhubarb pie from the garden....yummmmm!

I'm digging two 3' fence post holes for a garden gate down through genuine Pocono soil...any volunteers?

Spent the afternoon planting the upper flower bed by the road. Compost, goat manure, a bit of organic fertilizer and lots of impatiens. All covered with a bunch of deer fencing. If those hoofed rodents wish to eat they are going to have to work for it! Pictures when they bloom!

Vegetable garden is almost fully planted. Need to fill in a few empty spaces and plant cukes and squash. Some critter has been in there grazing, ate about 1/2 he pea plants. Garden is in about 3 weeks late due to rainy weather.

Broke a tie rod end on the 1650 cub cadet, front wheels went in two different directions. Looks like a trip to Tractor supply coming up! ;-)

My son came by this AM to pick up my generator. They are Ok as well as his inlaws up the road. Twister path 30 yds wide and 5 miles long. Cherry Valley is a pristine undeveloped area just south of us.

You need to convince several here to urban farm, for example

or window boxes, etc.

We can take up a collection to buy some hanging 'living, nutrious decorations' for the host.

That's a great idea, count me in, but I don't know if they make chocolate planters.
