I've been expecting this. Taking a cue from recent Florida book bannings, a petitioner demands that the Bible should be removed from schools due to "inappropriateness, social-emotional learning, mentions of bestiality and rape, and "wokeness" as reasons to ban the Bible. Each reason is accompanied by a corresponding Bible excerpt."
Any bets on how this will go down?

Yea, some people do have peculiar views of what is sin and the Bible does contain a profusion of them. There is rape genocide bestiality slavery violence, sometimes ok, much sex. [ Come to think of, it's much like cable tv nowadays.]
Would some other book with the below lines pass muster? Bible gets the pass. Why is that?

The Bible records what happens - and in some cases what will happen - that does not mean it is approved - one is expected to take the Bible as a whole and understand it contextually.

Which reminds me, election jostling is in full swing with Republicans lining up to have God on their side and condemning those in league with the Devil.
Candidate for Michigan Secretary of State Kristina Karamo complains about the music corrupting the youth of America. Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Billie, Eilish, are putting children "under a satanic delusion." and then there is that number which is nothing more than a lesbian orgy. I do have to agree, can't really deny they do put out some satanic vibes, can we?
