There are about 2,000 billionaires in the world. Most are Americans and most are males. Combined they have the wealth of half the world. The top 1%? No, top 0.000001% roughly. Maybe more than 10% are women, so they have a fair representation. Most are over 60 years of age. China, Japan, Russia and a few other countries make a fair showing.
So who should run the world? Should these 2,000 make up the New One World Order and run things? Is a democratic system better if it is made up of people who can't support themselves?
How's this for a story plot. A shadow world government made up of the wealthiest people in the world. They are the king makers who put presidents and kings in power yet stay in the background themselves. They control international policy and economics.
Code of Federal Regulations?
Council on Foreign Relations.
They fit your description, perfectly. If you like to do research, this would be a good and informative one for you.
