Huge, huge, huge windstorm took out power and phones yesterday from 2:30AM to 10:40PM. Trees down in many parts of Portland and parts to the south, causing wires to go down. House stayed warm in low 60's. Got out a one burner propane stove for cooking. Had chicken soup in am and poached salmon in pm. Realized how co-dependent I am on a microwave and a tv. LOL. Nothing to do but sort clothes and clean house. Last storm like this was on the night of the first POTUS debate. That was just long enough to have a long soak in the tub.

That is a long outage.  You are resourceful.

Very long. I heard it go off, saw it was dark outside the window and grabbed another down comforter and blanket and went back to sleep until much later.

Overnight outages are the best because you don’t need to open the refrigerator.

LOL. I have never looked at them that way.

Well, if you sleep through an outage you aren’t inconvenienced.
