Yes Prince Harry is a big boy, and yes he has made his choices.  The question is WHY did he make the choice he did.

Meghan grew up around the entertainment industry so she would be familiar with how the tabloids work, the types of articles they print, etc. She is also a woman who has always done what she wanted when she wanted.  As a member of the Royal family she could not do what she wanted, when she wanted. There were rules, and regulations that had to be followed.  She claims she gave up everything for the Royal family so what exactly did she give up? Meghan closed down her social media accounts, and her blog, however she had access to social media via the palace. She just had to be very careful what she put out there, and how often.  As for her leaving her job as a cast member of the T.V. drama Suits...she was considering leaving that job before she ever met Prince Harry. She has said she wanted "her voice" to be heard. That most likely would not happen as a working Royal.

As for Prince Harry. Pretty much the entire world was aware of the problems, etc. he suffered as a result of his mother's death, and his resulting feelings, and fears towards the media, and especially the tabloids. On their Africa tour, Meghan did an interview, and mentioned how hard it was, how very few people had asked her if she was OK, while looking as though she was about to cry.  Later, when Prince Harry gave his speech that they were stepping back from Royal duties he said something along the lines  that it was terrible to see a loved one going through so much. He also said there was no other option.

Meghan is a actress, not a great one, but an actress, and as such it wouldn't have been difficult for her to be very upset over tabloid articles, and from what she said at the Oprah interview, the way she was supposedly treated at the palace. It took time, and manipulation, but it would not have been all that hard to play on Prince Harry's fears, etc. to the point that he felt the only thing he could do was to step back from Royal life in order to protect his wife.

Kind of funny how she wanted privacy, but once here, she has openly courted the press. So she, in fact, gave up nothing, Prince Harry however has left the only life he has known, left his family, and friends in order to protect her.  Sure he can communicate with them via internet, etc. but that really isn't the same as being there.  I find it sad.

She may have chosen a life in front of the cameras, but he was brought up in the spotlight, so in different ways they both have a relationship, so to speak, with the media.

The both said they they wanted privacy, but it's clear that neither of them told the truth, as they have done nothing but seek publicity since they left the UK. He has never had to earn his own living, and has shown no inclination to find a job. (No different than his older brother, of course, but the latter isn't claiming to want privacy)

He does indeed have problems arising from the various traumas of his childhood; being brought up by nannies and then packed off to boarding school when he was only eight, having his mother's and father's affairs broadcast for all to see, and then, of course, the tragedy of his mother's death. But moaning in public isn't the solution. Doing an honest day's work instead of wallowing in his own problems, and keeping himself to himself would go a long way to making life better for himself.

With all due respect, they didn't move to the US because she needed protection; Harry isn't stupid, why would he think she was in danger. All she had to do was conform with what she very well knew what was expected of her - if you take the title and the privileges and the money you have to take the less pleasant side of it.

The more we see of her, the more manipulative and cunning she appears to be.  She is nothing like Diana was.

Ironically, they would have been safer staying in England.   The royals all dedicate themselves to a life of service.  That is a job.  Now they will be “working” for Netflix, which is another kind of job,

Oh, Diana was the mistress of manipulation. She played everyone and used everyone, including her own children.

They don't have a life of service! They enjoy a life of luxury financed by the public and in return they turn up for photo shoots an make a few speeches. Other people do the actual work, they just take the credit.  The country could manage perfectly well without them. And Harry and Megan will be the same regarding their Netflix connection...other people will do the work and their names will be on the credits... :-)

If they really live useless lives, they are the ones who will suffer. There is no sense of fulfillment.

Who cares?

He made his bed... he has to sleep in it.

Nuff said!
