In other words, he'll be the poster boy for the company and get the kudos, while others do the work. He has no qualifications other than a few mediocre A Levels and ten years in the army. If his granny wasn't queen of England he's have been lucky to get a job as a security guard... :-)

I admired her for trying to make the best of a bad situation. Her married life and after was very unhappy.

Trying to make the best of a bad situation? She was vindictively trying to portray herself in a good light and her ex in a bad light. She could have, for her sons' sake if nothing else, gone quietly into the background and lived a low key life. She clearly never thought of the effect on her boys of having their mothers love life and marital problems plastered all over the media BY HER. 

He got into Sandhurst, the officer training college, by the skin of his teeth (I suspect were he not who he is, they wouldn't have been so accommodating - most officers are expected to have a degree before entering). The Windsor family are not known for their academic prowess, which is fair enough, we can't all be academic. 

That is one way to look at it.  Her husband was in love with another woman when he married her and never cared about her at all, but hid it from her until after their children were born.  She was nothing more than a way to secure heirs.  Isn’t that worse?

Children can be taught to be good students. With all their influence and access maybe they should have focused on improving their minds.

I was a teacher for thirty eight years; you can help weak students to achieve if they are willing, but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Then you should know. 

"With all due respect, they didn't move to the US because she needed protection; Harry isn't stupid, why would he think she was in danger.  All she had to do was conform with what she very well knew what was expected of her - if you take the title and the privileges and the money you have to take the less pleasant side of it."

That's the point, Meghan had no intention of conforming to what was expected of her. She wanted all the perks, and the title that she could use to open doors that never would have been open to her as a B-list actress, doors that she would not have been able to walk through if she had remained a working member of the Royal family. In order to get what she wanted, and to be able to do what she wanted she had to get Prince Harry to leave his family, and the life of a working Royal.

From all accounts, the British tabloids were not particularly kind where Meghan was concerned, so it would not have been very difficult for her to be very upset, tearful, anxious, perhaps a bit afraid, and somewhat depressed about it all in private with her husband, when she also may have pleaded for a "normal, private" life.  She well knew his feelings, fears where the media, tabloid reporters, photographers, etc. were concerned, due largely to the sudden death of Diana. All she had to do was play on it all, and apparently that is what she did. Why would Prince Harry think she was in danger? He said it all himself when he made the decision to leave public. He said there was no other option, and he feared a repeat of the past, a reference to the death of Diana. 

It has become fairly apparent that Meghan wanted to be able to do what she wanted, to be able to begin to form some kind of financial empire to fund her lifestyle, and to be the main focus of all of it. One does not hire a PR team to report on what one is doing, or set up photo shoots to announce a pregnancy if one really wants privacy. Now here Meghan is once again putting herself in the spotlight, and playing the victim. She has said not only that she wishes she could be there to support Prince Harry, but that she is willing to forgive, and move forward.  She very publicly makes nasty allegations about the Royal family, how she was treated, etc. and SHE is willing to forgive?, SHE was victimized? 

A few of Meghans friends have said she is calculating. Reading the many articles about her, as well as the books, "Harry, and Meghan in their Own Words", and "Finding Freedom", but not taking any one thing as absolute truth, or focusing on only a few things, instead looking at it all the picture of a strong, willful, independent woman, but also a VERY selfish, self-centered, manipulative one emerges.
