Authorities say the victim death toll from the Texas school shooting now stands at 19 children and two teachers.

Fox NewsFox News guest Buck Sexton said Tuesday on Tucker Carlson Tonight that those who criticize politicians who can but won't enact legislation to help prevent mass shootings like the one at a Texas elementary school earlier in the day are "hurting the situation."Host Tucker Carlson hypothesized that mental illness could have played a part in the shooting. Many on the left, he claimed, "don't...

It’s become sadly clear that we think we know why people shoot up schools or stores or other places and kill, but it’s very complicated. We have ideas on how to stop it but nothing has been done so far. Politicians seem to use these horrific crises to further their own agendas and leverage their own positions. Family left behind suffer the unimaginable loss of their children or other family members. Society grieves. But we don’t stop it from happening again.

Rather than report on opinions about what we don't know... let's talk about what we do know.
#1: It was another school shooting and their either was no metal detector installed or it wasn't working properly.
#2: Schools are gun free zones... and thus should be better protected by police or special guards with guns.
#3: Good guys with a gun stop bad guys with a gun. How many teachers were carrying?
#4: This isn't the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or more times this has happened... yet they continue to occur. No gun law will stop this. Even a total ban of guns by all people... the bad guys will continue to find ways to procure them illegally!
Based upon what we know... we also now know what should be done to prevent this in the future.

It happened in Texas. If anyone was to have armed guards, you would think Texas would. I hate the idea of turning schools into armed fortresses, but we have seen it can happen anywhere.

I’m disappointed that politicians rush to point fingers and build political equity off of this tragedy. It happened on Biden’s watch. Did he say anything about the armed border patrol agent shot and killed the shooter and saved the rest of the school? I am disgusted by what they are doing now. It would be much more comforting to hear a religious figure speaking than politician, who can’t do anything to make it better or keep it from happening again.
Much as I hate the idea of children having to be protected by guns at school, if there was an armed guard waiting when the shooter walked in, the victims would all be alive today.

If someone wrote a script about this people would criticize it for portraying this guy as a fringe nut. What was he thinking? He showed up uninvited to a press event held by his opponent in the fall election and interrupted the discussion. He was asked to leave, and then I think he was escorted out. People want him for Governor? Why?
