Martial arts work.  You were lucky. Now, a victim who fights back is also suspended or expelled.  If the bully is a protected group, the victim may be the only person who faces consequences.

So they support the bullies now instead of the victims!

That too, only goes to show how wrong our system currently has become!

Teachers who truly want to protect our kids and grand kids are willing to protect them with a firearm. Those who want to indoctrinate them into becoming mindless puppets don't want firearms in the schools.

This meme says exactly that...

Sometimes, yes.  My warning was always stand up for yourself and don’t get caught.  Well, just a few times, but it worked.

That would mean teachers must be able to handle guns. Not everyone wants to be gun trained.  Not everyone should be.

Yep... and they all need to carry because you never know which room a maniac might want to enter. Switzerland arms all of their teachers.

If they don't want to be gun trained, then perhaps they should change their profession.

Requirements:

1) Good safety record and accuracy with a gun. Must qualify on the range.

2) Good understanding of our Constitution, Bill of Rights and our History! Must pass an exam.

3) Teacher certified understanding of the course(s) you want to teach. Must pass an exam. in the course(s) you're certified to teach.

4) Loves to work with children. Must listen to 14 hours of student training (how to spot those who have problems, how to assist those who have problems, how to improve the skills of those with problems, etc.) and take an test afterwards.

You prevent it like this article says... when you have an active shooter... you cannot wait 5~10 minutes or more for the police to arrive... you need to take out the suspect as quickly as possible...

Woman shoots gunman dead after he begins firing rifle at graduation party crowd; detective praises her for saving 'several lives'

DAVE URBANSKI
May 30, 2022

Police in Charleston, West Virginia, are praising a woman who fatally shot a gunman who fired a rifle at dozens of graduation party attendees last week.

What are the details?
Investigators said Dennis Butler was warned Wednesday about speeding near the Vista View Apartment complex with children present before he departed and then returned with an AR-15-style rifle and began firing into the crowd, WCHS-TV reported.

Police said a bystander attending the party quickly pulled out her handgun and shot Butler, WOWK-TV reported.

Officers arriving at the scene around 10:45 p.m. found Butler with multiple gunshot wounds, WOWK reported, adding that he later died. Butler, 37, was from Charleston, the station added.

There were no reports of injuries to those attending the party, WCHS reported.

Police said several witnesses and the person who fired the gun waited for police to arrive and fully cooperated with the investigation, WOWK said.

Officers said Butler had an extensive criminal history, WCHS noted.

What will happen to the woman who killed the gunman?

Tony Hazelett, the police department's chief of detectives, told WCHS no charges will be filed against the woman who took out the gunman.

“Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night,” Hazelett added the station, also saying the woman was "lawfully carrying" her gun and if not for her actions, "we could have had a casualty shooting.”

WCHS did note that the investigation still will be turned over to the Kanawha County Prosecutor’s office for review.

These are a few years old, but they do give insight into things that... if they aren't currently implemented... perhaps they should be...

That won’t be reported in newspapers.  Did they give her background?   For some reason I can’t see any text in the article. It’s blank.

That first video is excellent.  She knows exactly how prevent shootings. Does anyone listen?  It’s chilling that lockdowns rills teach future shooters how to circumvent all precautions since over 90% of shooters either attend or have attended the schools where they shoot. They are also suicidal. If they can identify and have relationships with those at risk students, they can prevent most school shootings.
