MEET THE NEW DR. DEATH: Far-Left Portland Physician Is Turning Oregon Into America’s First DEATH TOURISM State

February 6, 2023 8:15 pm
by Cullen Linebarger

The war on human life continues unabated in the Western world. The Daily Mail revealed on Sunday a doctor named Nicholas Gideonse has been convincing terminally ill individuals to come to Oregon so he can help them commit suicide and in the process turning Oregon into a “death tourism” state.

Gideonse currently practices medicine at the Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) Primary Care Clinic in Portland. At the same time, he also serves as the director of End of Life Choices in Oregon.

Gideonse is also a radical-left political activist. His Facebook page shows him supporting the Marxist Black Lives Matters clowns and the environmental extremist Sunrise Movement.

The Oregon physician recently told a panel that he was convincing terminally ill out-of-state residents to travel to Oregon so he could help them end their lives despite this not being quite legal yet. The state last year agreed to extend access to doctor-assisted suicide to non-residents, but this is not expected to be codified into law until later this year.

Gideonse caused the state to move toward altering the assisted suicide law, which currently allows terminally ill Oregonians with less than six months to live to request doctors provide them a fatal dose of drugs they generally use at home.

The doctor whined the requirement blocked him from providing deadly drugs to patients in Washington state, where assisted suicide is also legal. Oregon health chiefs caved to his avarice for more patients last year and agreed to lift the residency rule.

Now Gideonse is going beyond Washington and persuading terminally ill patients even from states where assisted suicide is illegal to come to Oregon so he can help them end their lives.

Critics now expect this new “death tourism” industry started by Oregon thanks in part to Gideonese will spread to other states. They also fear state euthanasia laws could eventually resemble Canada’s, where people can be euthanized for non-terminal reasons such as hearing loss.

Here is what they are saying:

Matt Vallière, executive director of the Patients Rights Action Fund, a campaign group, said America’s medical aid-in-dying (MAiD) rules were already ‘flimsy and easy to circumvent’ and that allowing suicide tourism deepened the problems of a flawed system.

‘You end up in this Wild West scenario where people take the drugs back to their home states, and there are a lot more questions than there are answers about what would happen after that,’ Vallière said.

Diane Coleman, president of Not Dead Yet, another campaign group, said the clinic and Oregon officials were bypassing laws in other states, where lawmakers had decided against having their own assisted suicide rules.

‘Many view these laws as a danger to people with serious illnesses, chronic conditions and significant disabilities in our cost-conscious healthcare system,’ Coleman said.

One would be remiss not to mention that Gideonse is a protege of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, one of the most prolific murderers in American history. His crimes were so notorious he earned the apt nickname “Dr. Death.”

The evil doctor conned over 130 people into helping him end their lives and was eventually convicted on second-degree murder. 60% of Kevorkian’s patients were not terminally ill at all.

Death and suffering causes untold heartache everyday for Americans but letting doctors like Gideonse help kill patients is not the answer. The advocates for assisted suicide will not stop with terminally ill patients as we have seen with Kevorkian and Canada but instead push to create a culture which completely devalues human life.

School Choice Is The Catch-All Solution To Public Education’s Endless Problems

BY: MARY VOUGHT
FEBRUARY 02, 2023

Over the past decade, a new form of school choice has begun to emerge that holds revolutionary flexibility for parents.

Three years after the coronavirus first appeared on our shores, millions of American students are still suffering from record learning loss. After teachers’ union leaders lobbied to keep schools locked down for months on end, many children regressed academically in ways we’re still uncovering. Thankfully, however, last week highlighted one potential solution, with National School Choice Week working to put parents, not union bosses, in charge of the American educational system.

School choice operates under a single premise: Parents know their child’s unique needs, wants, desires, and learning interests better than anyone else. No two children are alike, meaning parents should serve as student advocates by selecting the curricular program that works best for their own children.

Students can pursue school choice through many forms of education in both the private and public sectors. In the open enrollment option, students attend a public school located outside their traditional neighborhood boundaries. Other parents may select charter schools, institutions funded with taxpayer dollars but given more flexibility than traditional district schools.

Magnet schools with intensive curricula focused on one subject such as science or art may be the perfect fit for some students. But other children may respond better to online and virtual learning, or homeschooling with their parents. Many states have also developed opportunity scholarship programs, which give families a stipend to select the school that best meets their needs.

First created by Arizona in 2011 for special needs children, Education Savings Accounts provide parents with a percentage of the funds that the state would have spent on a child’s education. Those funds get placed into an account that the family can use for any combination of educational expenses they desire — from textbooks to extra one-on-one counseling to tuition at an independent school.

Since the creation of ESAs, seven other states have adopted the concept, with more following suit in legislative sessions this year. Parents originally started this movement to provide special needs children with flexible funding for specialized lessons that public schools often struggle to provide. While the ESA program began with parents of special needs children, Arizona went back and passed a universal ESA law last year.

All of the inherent flaws of a one-size-fits-all approach to education were demonstrated during the pandemic when groups of unelected officials and union bosses could keep schools closed and block millions of children from in-person learning. School choice provides the best solution by putting the power in the educational system back where it belongs — with parents.

From Jan. 22 through 28, millions of Americans celebrated National School Choice Week at thousands of events nationwide. Many of those events included school fairs where parents can find information about the quality educational options available to them in their area. These fairs can serve as a great tool for people who have children of their own, or have a young niece or nephew, grandchild, or friend — in other words, just about everyone.

As a parent myself, I encourage you to embrace the opportunity National School Choice Week presents, both to learn more about school choice and to encourage lawmakers to expand options in your state. The next generation will thank you for your efforts.

Parents have asked for school choice for decades. Public schools don’t work for at least 20-30% of the population even in good conditions. Why should that many students be forced into the wrong setting on a daily basis? Children who are mis-educated over time develop PTSD and other symptoms.

Well, over 2 million have already pulled out of public schools, so hopefully, with this school choice, parents will chose other schools they feel will be better than the public schools causing a further decrease in public school students.

So the next thing you can expect is that they will attempt to bring their indoctrination tactics into the private and charter schools.

So be on the look out for and ensure that doesn't happen.

Joe Biden Picks Obama Enforcer Susan Rice to Implement Critical Race Theory Throughout the Federal Bureaucracy

By streiff
3:00 PM on February 19, 2023

Thursday, Joe Biden signed an executive order embedding the tenets of Critical Race Theory into the operations of the federal government. EO 13985, Executive Order on Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government, requires the establishment of “Agency Equity Teams” to ensure that equal outcomes are imposed on federal programs.

(i) Each Agency Equity Team shall be led by a designated senior official (senior designee) charged with implementing my Administration’s equity initiatives, and shall include senior officials from the office of the agency head and the agency’s program, policy, civil rights, regulatory, science, technology, service delivery, financial assistance and grants, data, budget, procurement, public engagement, legal, and evaluation offices, as well as the agency’s Chief Diversity Officer, to the extent applicable. Agency Equity Teams shall include a combination of competitive service employees, as defined by 5 U.S.C. 2102(a), and appointees, as defined in Executive Order 13989 of January 20, 2021 (Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Personnel), and, to the extent practicable, shall build upon and coordinate with the agency’s existing structures and processes, including with the agency’s environmental justice officer designated pursuant to Executive Order 14008 of January 27, 2021 (Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad), and with the senior agency official designated to coordinate with the Gender Policy Council pursuant to Executive Order 14020 of March 8, 2021 (Establishment of the White House Gender Policy Council).

(ii) The senior designee at each agency shall be responsible for delivering equitable outcomes, to the extent consistent with applicable law, and shall report to the agency head.

(iii) Each Agency Equity Team shall support continued equity training and equity leadership development for staff across all levels of the agency’s workforce.

According to the Associated Press:

Chiraag Bains, the president’s deputy assistant for racial justice and equity, said that the new order shows Biden is “doubling down” on the commitment he made on his first day as president “to put equity at the center of how this government operates.”

The order institutionalizes Biden’s pledge that government be open and accessible to all and “is a recognition that achieving equity is not a one- or a two-year project. It’s a generational commitment,” Bains told The Associated Press.

Federal agencies would need to improve the quality and frequency of their engagement with communities that have faced systemic discrimination. And it formalizes Biden’s goal of a 50% bump in federal procurement dollars that go to small and disadvantaged businesses by 2025.

Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity are now the policy of the federal government.

Even if you buy that diversity, for diversity’s sake, is a good policy (you’ll love living in Yugoslavia — wait, it doesn’t exist anymore — or Rwanda) and that inclusivity as an end makes sense, the notion of equity, which is that unequal outcomes are caused by systemic racism, should strike you as bizarre. Life isn’t equal. Half of the country has a below-average IQ. Not everyone can play pro sports. The bald-faced assertion that a lack of equal outcomes is due to “communities” (whatever the hell that means anymore) being “underserved” by the government is balderdash. “Communities” have different outcomes because they are different. The intellectual bankruptcy of the DIE stupidity lies in the fact that it sees 100% of all problems as racial.

As I posted yesterday, see Biden EPA Administrator’s Advice to Chemical Poisoning Victims in East Palestine, OH, Sounds Like Cruel Parody; there is no set of circumstances where a predominantly minority community would be treated the way East Palestine was treated. But because of the residents’ age, income, education, and race, the federal government could give a flying f*** if they all died. In fact, under DIE dogma, that is a privileged community and probably had this coming for all the advantages it has had.

To make things worse, Biden is bringing in Obama consigliere Susan Rice to lead the effort.
