This sounds like a conservative publication. I’m not familiar with Canada’s news outlets.

I voted other.  They are not immigrants, they are illegal aliens entering our country illegally.  They need to be sent back.

Come to our country the legal way, the legal process, or go home.

And, after you do it the legal way, you will not receive any aide.  No free ride.

I voted other.

We should bus them to the south of the nearest legal border gate port of entry from wherever they are and then tell them to cross legally.

It's potentially only temporary if that happens, they aren't guaranteed refugee status, and denied it if they are an economic migrant, on the other hand Canada's economy functions with immigrants, but young ones, with skills, so if they are in their 20s or 30s and have some skills then by all means send them here. From a purely moral standpoint, I'd rather they come here than be sent back to a dangerous situation, and if coming here anyway and just traversing the United States, I'd rather they do that then try to walk across in winter, which is what happened to an east india family walking across Manitoba's border with North Dakota where they all froze to death, including an infant.

I used the term they are using for the news stories. It’s an interesting idea to send them elsewhere. Illegal or not, the current administration invited them in.

This is one case where I don’t have a vote. I’m actually not sure what to do. Technically a majority should not be here at all for many reasons. But I also don’t see why Canada should take on a problem we made for ourselves.  Legal or not, our administration allowed them in and now the blue cities realize they don’t want them. Red cities don’t need them or their skills as there are already enough people here who can do the jobs they would be doing.  So where do they go?  If they end up in Canada and can’t get legal status, what does Canada do with them? Send them back?

Can your country absorb that many people? Most are young, either young adults or children. So technically they could provide services you might need.  I can’t imagine anyone thinking they could walk through that kind of climate in winter and survive.

So where do they go?  If they end up in Canada and can’t get legal status, what does Canada do with them? Send them back?

Yes, but not back to US, back to their home countries as I understand it.
