Sens. Ron Johnson (R-IW) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Tuesday demanded Secretary of State Antony Blinken produce all records related to Hunter Biden following his false testimony to Congress that he never spoke to the president’s son, a letter obtained by Breitbart News shows.
During an interview on December 22, 2020, Blinken told Senate investigators he had not texted or emailed Hunter Biden. But emails contained on Hunter Biden’s laptop and from recent reports revealed Blinken did in fact email Hunter Biden on at least two occasions.
On May 22, 2015, Hunter Biden emailed Blinken’s personal email address requesting to meet and get “advice on a couple of things.” “Absolutely,” he replied.
On July 15, 2015, the second email shows Blinken emailed Hunter about following up on a meeting:
Absolutely. I’m just about to land in Tokyo en route back DC from Burma. I’ll be in office from Tuesday on. Copying Linda in my office to find a good time. Look forward to seeing you. Tony
Johnson and Grassley, coauthors of the Hunter Biden 2020 report, released the transcript of Blinken’s false statement to Congress in 2020:
Question: Did you ever talk with [Hunter Biden] on the phone?
Blinken: Not that I recall.
Question: Did you have any other means of correspondence with him—emails, texts?
Blinken: No.
Blinken’s false statement has raised red flags for the senators and caused them to question the “veracity” of his entire December 22, 2020 testimony in which he also denied any knowledge of Hunter Biden’s Burisma Holdings board membership:
Question: [Y]ou were not aware that Hunter Biden served on Burisma’s board?
Blinken: To the best of my recollection, I was not.
Johnson and Grassley said they have doubts about Blinken’s statement because emails unearthed show his wife, Evan Ryan, communicating with Hunter Biden from her personal email address. Ryan is a current White House executive secretary and former assistant secretary of state for educational and cultural affairs (ECA) in the Obama administration (2013–2017).
The senators told Blinken the emails between the two show “an apparent attempt to connect you with representatives of Burisma’s U.S. lobbying firm, Blue Star Strategies.”
“It seems highly unlikely that you had no idea of Hunter Biden’s association with Burisma while your wife was apparently coordinating with Hunter Biden to potentially connect you with Burisma’s U.S. representatives,” the Republicans wrote.
In April 2014, Hunter joined the board of Burisma, just two years before Joe Biden stated he forced the firing of Ukraine prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma.
Despite Hunter’s lack of experience in Ukraine or the energy sector, he was paid $83,000 per month by the energy company, or $1 million per year — just weeks after his father was announced “point person” on U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine.

U.S. House posts flowchart showing how foreign money reached Bidens

The House Oversight committee has posted online a flow chart explaining how, based on the evidence of Biden family and other bank statements, foreign money reached the Biden family.
The committee's online report said:
"We have now established a network of over 20 companies formed by the Bidens and their associates. Most of these companies were LLCs and formed when Joe Biden was vice president."
"Based on the financial records we have obtained via bank subpoenas, we can now confidently trace at least $10 million in total from foreign nationals' and their related companies going to the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies."
"What services did the Bidens provide in exchange for this money? It is unclear what they provided other than access and influence."
"Joe Biden told the American people on October 22, 2020 that Hunter never made money from China. That is a lie based on the bank records."
"The Bidens took steps to hide, confuse, and conceal payments they received from foreign nationals. Here's one example how a CCP-linked associate layered domestic limited liability companies to pay Hunter Biden."
The House report said, "In additional to the China money ties, we are adding a new country to our growing list of places the Bidens received money from: Romania. The Biden family and associates' activities in Romania reveal an influence peddling scheme from 2017 to 2017."
"While VP Biden was lecturing Romania on anti-corruption policies, he served as a walking billboard for his son & family to collect money. Hunter & his associates capitalized on a lucrative financial relationship with a Romanian national who was later convicted of corruption."
"The Bidens received over $1 million for the Romania deal, with 16 of the 17 payments made during Biden's VP term. The money stops flowing from Romania soon after Joe Biden leaves office, establishing a pattern of influence peddling."
The committee promised there now is a "new phase" in the investigation.
"Ultimately, we believe the Biden family and their associates courted business in countries that correlated directly with Joe Biden's work as vice president. This is also not normal. It is not ethical. And this is why we are working towards legislative solutions."

Actions 'bear clear indicia of a scheme to peddle influence'

The Biden family long has been suspected of running an international influence-peddling scheme collecting cash for access to Joe Biden, then vice president and now president. After all, Hunter Biden at one point was getting tens of thousands of dollars a month to be on the board of a Ukrainian gas company, in an industry where he had zero experience.
And that's exactly what GOP investigators in the U.S. Congress now are charging.
A new report from Republicans investigating vast cash payments to the Biden family over the years, released by Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., has the receipts: "The Biden family and associates' activities in Romania bear clear indicia of a scheme to peddle influence from 2016 to 2017," the report said. "While Vice President Biden lectured Romania on corruption and ethics, Hunter Biden received – through Biden associate Rob Walker – over a million dollars from a company controlled by a Romanian individual accused of corruption (Gabriel Popoviciu)."
The report continued, "That work appears separate from a Hunter Biden representative's explanation that he referred Popoviciu to a law firm."
The Daily Signal reported the evidence, revealed in a 36-page memo from the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, charged Joe Biden's family collected more than $10 million from foreign entities – "mostly while he was vice president."
The report was compiled from thousands of pages of bank records of the Biden family.
"Documents tell the story of how Biden family members and various business associates created more than 20 companies during Biden’s vice presidency. The first family also used business associates’ companies to receive the foreign money, bank records show, according to the memo," said the report. (WATCH James Comer's news conference below):
The GOP report said there were attempts to conceal "large transactions" by having "incremental payments" made over time to "different bank accounts."
For example, the records document how "Chinese nationals and companies with close ties to Chinese intelligence and the Chinese Communist Party" tried to hide the transfer of funds by "layering in American limited liability companies," the report said.
The memo reveals, "The Biden family and associates’ activities in coordination with Chinese nationals and their corporate entities appear to be an attempt to engage in financial deception. To be clear, multiple Biden family members received money from the Chinese after it passed through the Robinson Walker, LLC account. Additionally, Hunter Biden received money directly into his company’s account from a Chinese-controlled entity."
The GOP memo charges, "The Bidens received millions of dollars from their Chinese partnership. When Ye was detained by the Chinese, Hunter Biden then attempted to distance himself from the relationship by claiming he had never been paid by CEFC. This was false."

The memo referenced Ye Jianming and his company, CEFC, who was detained by the CCP in 2018.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the "Second Records Memorandum" released Wednesday, "specifically outlines the Biden family's ties to Romanian 'influence peddling' and a web of LLCs created while Biden was vice president. It also accuses President Biden for a 'lack of transparency' regarding his family's receipt of funds from China, which he has said are 'not true.'"
It charges the Bidens with creating 20 companies "affiliated with certain Biden family members" that accepted "funds from foreign companies ranging from $5,000 to $3 million."
Large portions of those payments then were forwarded to Biden family members, the report said.
The Daily Mail confirmed, "Between 2015 and 2017, Robinson Walker, LLC received $3 million from Bladon Enterprises Limited – Popoviciu's Cypriot company – which was then paid out to Biden family members in a total sum of over $1 million.
